I cann't even spot where the scratch was.and btw this was done in a tempered glass so all the sanding was made by hand it took 3 saturday afternoons and lots lots of water.
The only thing i couldn't find the right amount of water and cerium so i had to make 2 mixes till i got it right.
No special tools needed just a real nice workout by the sanding by hand.sure it would be easier to but a new windshield but it was a nice weekend project and i could prove my friends a deep scratch can be removed under 30us$
So I have a tub of this stuff left and decided to try to polish some old eyeglasses I had around. I couldn't remember if they were glass or polycarbonite, but soon after attempting it, I realized they were indeed plastic. You'll get a white haze and if you keep going, you'll probably bubble up in spots because it got too hot. I didn't really care about them, but thought it was worth a shot. I spent maybe 45 mintues just see what would happen on a single spot and it just doesn't work.
Like I said it worked, but was a major pain in the butt.

The product works well. It does remove light scratches. Process is not easy but it works.Published 10 months ago by Captain
With a fair amount of elbow grease the windows will improve even if you don't totally remove all the scratches ( not saying you couldn't if you spend some time). Read morePublished 12 months ago by Martin Malcheski
This stuff is amazing for fine windshield scratches. Takes a little buffing and a little messy, but no scratches.Published 18 months ago by Jerry
