WT-7620 is the Worst printer I ever bought and I bought 3 - All failed. I'm going to call it WTF-7620 now.

I bought 3 of these printers and all three failed within 14 months with the black print heads going out. I ONLY used the EPSON ink (had on autoship from Sam's club.) These are the first EPSON printers I have bought in the past 15 years and I will never buy EPSON again because of this experience. If you had the same problem, please post here. I think there should be a recall. 1 is bad luck, but 3 is a pattern. I expected more from a $200 -$250 printer. You know what's working great? My little Cannon MX870. It's printing like a champ! It just had a tiny paper bin. I had high hopes for these printers but now all I have are three large paper weights. I'm moving them to the storage at my office in hopes a recall will surface.

Great Printer for 11 months. Then printing became blurred. I cleaned the printheads, and perform 'print head nozzle check'...not much better. Did this four more times...still not any better. Check Epson online support...updated firmware...still not any better. Installed brand new print cartridges...still not any better. Call Epson technical support...was talked through taking the print cartridges out and reading the numbers to them so they could verify they were Epson cartridges. Then was walked through cleaning the print heads...still not any better. . Again walked through cleaning the print heads two more times. Still no improvement. Was then told to unplug the printer and told "it needed to rest overnight". Amazingly the next morning after a good night's rest the printing was still blurry. Call Epson tech support again...gave them the service number so they could take up where they left off. Was talked through taking the print cartridges out and reading them the numbers so they could verify someone hadn't switch cartridges to non-Epson cartridges overnight when I was sleeping. Was talked through cleaning the print head...still without any improvement. Told them I was too busy to keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting something different. I suspect it is more cost effective to waste the customer's time with BS than to honor the warranty.

This is, by far, the worst printer I've ever used. I have had it over a year and the results are only getting worse. Regardless of how many times I "clean" the print head, my printouts are illegible within a few printed pages. [see screen shot]

I wish I could give this zero stars. This printer has completely froze on me after numerous issues:
1. From the start, the print quality from this is nothing like what was described. The prints are nowhere crisp even in black and white. Colour prints look like an old cheap early-90s bubblejet printer.
2. This printer does not feed paper properly. Paper keeps jamming, multiple sheets coming out with your prints making your prints off-centred or cut across the multiple sheets that came out... wasting time, paper, ink and causing much frustration
3. Edge printing is a joke, with lines of ink on the edge
4. The ink cartidges run out in no time. I needed to keep no less than 5 boxes of each colour at any given time to prevent me running out from the simplest of printing tasks
5. As mentioned, the printer has now seized up. A dud. A waste of space. The carriage that holds the ink cartridges refuses to move. It just would not move. Software checks, hardware check, everything tried to get this back up and running but nothing work.
I took a risk as I am an international Amazon customer but I can honestly say that I did not get my money's worth out of this printer.
A truly terrible experience and I will never buy this brand again.

Today, had the experience of calling Epson Support because my printer started reporting error 0x9d, no matter where the document originated -- the computer, the printer itself via a status report, or an attempt to copy from the ADF. Epson agreed to send me a new unit and told me to recycle the old one. My original printer went into light service in April of 2015.

OK, s__t happens, but this is the SECOND replacement I'm getting since my original order (via Amazon) six months ago. In both cases, I was left with documents I needed to print urgently, so I started to cast about for someplace I could take a USB key to print the documents -- consumer advisory: these places do exist! Even with this backup plan at cost to me, I must admit to being a little browned off. I wonder what the chances are of getting yet a third printer that doesn't work after a few months from Epson. Time will tell, I guess. In the meantime, I suggest CAREFUL research of mortality figures before buying this printer (or any printer) from Epson. By way of contrast. my previous All-in-one from a different manufacturer gave me faithful service for more than four years.

He tenido impresoras de casi todas las marcas, laser, de tinta y hasta de sublimación. Mi última impresora Epson fue una L355 que me gustó mucho hasta que comencé a tener problemas pequeños y mejor la vendí después de comprar un programa para resetearla pues dejó de funcionar ya que el tanque de desperdicio de tinta había llegado al fin de su vida útil.

Luego comencé a buscar mi primera impresora de formato ancho, compré una HP 7612 por el precio y la disponibilidad, fue muy agradable tener una impresora que hiciera la alineación de cabezales automáticamente, y estuve feliz hasta que comenzaron los problemas, incluso tuve que comprar un cabezal nuevo a los 7 meses de haberla comprado y aún así era una impresora en la que ya no podía confiar, pues la mayoría de las veces que imprimía algo o sacaba una copia había un problema, o los papeles se atoraban o no salía algún color, o chorreaba la tinta....

Investigué mucho y la verdad no quería regresar a Epson, pero no hay muchas opciones en cuanto a las impresoras de formato ancho, y casi estuve a punto de comprar una copiadora laser de color tamaño tabloide rebasado, pero me topé con esta Epson WF-7620 a un súper precio y decidí darle otra oportunidad pues esta impresora tiene una nueva tecnología llamada PrecisionCore y quise probarla.

PROS:

Tiene dos charolas, se puede poner papel de tamaño diferente en cada una (hasta tabloide o doble carta 11x17 pulgadas) al poner el papel la impresora pregunta que tipo de papel se puso en determinada charola y listo

La cama del escaner puede escanear documentos tamaño tabloide en una sola pasada

El escaner automático de documentos acepta documentos hasta de tamaño tabloide y se puede escanear ambos lados del papel automáticamente

El consumo de tinta es mucho menor que con la HP 7612

Los colores son mucho más vívidos que con mi impresora anterior

Es más silenciosa y un poco más rápida al imprimir que la anterior, y mucho pero mucho más rápida al imprimir ambos lados de la hoja

Duplex integrado

Muy bonita pantalla y de muy buen tamaño

Entrada posterior para papeles más grandes que tabloide y gruesos, yo utilizo mucho papel 13x19 pulgadas y he utilizado 12x14 pulgadas sin ningún problema

CONTRAS:

El menú de la impresora solo se puede tener en 2 idiomas: Inglés y Francés, aunque solo la utilizo yo eso no me importa, pero es muy malo por parte de Epson que no esté el Español como tercer idioma, reconozco que no he investigado lo suficiente para saber si puedo encontrar la programación en español, pero epson méxico no la tiene como producto en venta

En una de tantas reseñas en amazon usa, un usuario se queja de que al abrir la cama del escaner se abre la pequeña charola en la parte trasera y que eso es mal diseño de la impresora, cuando leí esa reseña ya estaba esperando lo mismo y como utilizo mucho la cama del escaner pues ya lo daba por hecho, cuando la recibí hice la prueba y NO pasa eso con mi impresora, no se si la re diseñaron o el usuario de la reseña no sabía lo que hacía, en fin hasta este día no he tenido más que un atasco de papel y ningún otro inconveniente.

Seguiré actualizando la reseña conforme pase el tiempo

Huge does-it-all perfect printer ruined by tiny tiny ink tanks.

Hold on. This is an OFFICE printer - hence the WF (short for Work Force) prefix. So don't buy it if you want a photo printer! I just received mine, and it is almost exactly what I want, for a really great price. Here's the breakdown:
- Prints up to 13x19 out of the trays (whaat? amazing!)
- Has duplex (2 sided) printing built in
- Duplex scanning too!
- All kinds of old fashioned features like FAX and USB and yes, even an Ethernet connection. Also includes SD and USB ports for your files.

So why not 5 stars? Here's why! It has TINY ink carts. My first WF printer came with HUGE ink carts that would last YEARS of home office printing. I guess Epson didn't like the low ink sales with those old WF printers, so they brought back the tiny carts for this one. Really too bad. Ruined a nearly perfect printer design. Note the small ink cart size should be FINE for HOME use. But this is a WorkForce printer, so it should have office-size ink tanks.

They do have an eco-print WF printer (with huge ink tanks), but it only prints up to 11x17. This one does 13x19, which is why I bought it.

Bottom line: A perfect office printer that does it all... but with tiny ink tanks to partially ruin it.

Came in one piece, worked out of the box, replaces its predecessor but the branded cartridges are very expensive - though for photos, Epson has the best pigment. Have tried Ouguan cartridges which work without a hassle and are much cheaper. The other generic brand explodes out the holes if you apparently live above 1000m - so avoid using them in the Western states. I like this oversized scanner - great for maps and it is generally problem free. The only issue with Epson is the artificial lifespan of the printing ink pad - where the housing is almost as expensive as the entire printer - hence simply replacing the WF-7520 with the WF-7620 (which does have a better auto feeding cover).

Addendum (Feb 25, 2018): Still like this printer and use it heavily in my home office, but the printer heads fill up very fast and the nozzles will plug regardless of being Epson or off-branded ink. Unfortunately, printer heads are double the cost of buying a new printer. It is clear that the printer/scanner is simply eye candy to purchase grossly over priced ink. And the eco-tanks are not much of an alternative selling at over 1000 dollars. So into the environment goes another printer and getting its next iteration - WF-7720.

This is the worst printer I have ever owned. I had a similiar one from HP before, and it was great. I am fairly technologically competent, but haven't been able to figure out how to make the manual load feature on the back work. I wanted to print on some heavier card stock and it requires you to set the type of paper which needs to be used (a common printer feature which is fine), but NONE of the settings seem to work with the paper I would like to use, so every time I print on it, I have to (a) open the tray to load, (b) only put in one piece of the card stock at a time (because otherwise it jams), (c) tell it what kind of paper I have inserted (knowing that the appropriate option is not available), and (d) tell it that, yes, I would really like to print on this &^$#@!* paper even though it is not the correct type. This turns a process that should take 10 seconds into 2 minutes every time.

This printer will not print black and white if any of the colour inks are empty, and the ink runs out quickly. Whenever I have to use it I get an almost un-resistable urge to throw it out of my window and be free from it forever. If you just want to do simple printing and scanning, this might be an okay option (though not at this price point). If you want to do anything a little bit different, I would keep searching.
