    Haven't used it yet, but it arrived on time and in good condition. I plan to use it as my backup cable as these things tend to wear out and leave you hanging at the worst time.The plastic on this feels like your standard cheap plastic coating, stiff and not very rubbery. It's about the same quality as my old one that I bought locally for a lot more money, so I'm pretty satisfied with the quality for the price. Plus it's not like I'm going to be handling it a lot; I'm just going to plug it in and forget about it. It's matte black in color.I'll update my review after I get a chance to test it.

    I needed a longer cable so I could listen to internet radio with my earbuds through my desktop computer at work. At first, I thought this cable was junk. When I plugged my earbuds into the cable, the audio was awful! But, after fiddling with the connection for a couple of seconds, I discovered that if I pulled the earbud plug out to the first notch, or click, the audio was perfect. Pushing the plug in all of the way does not get the desired results, but instead, muffled, crackling noise. If you are not satisfied with this cord, try pulling out the plug a little bit.

    I needed this cable in order to extend the reach of a pair of headphones that are plugged into a mixer.     I have a standing desk that moves up and down, the headphone jack on my work monitors always buzzes. So using the headphone jack on the computer is the only enjoyable way to listen to music and podcasts, but when I stand up the buds cannot reach my ears. Using this cord I jerry-rigged an excellent setup. I used a large binder clip, clipped it to my monitors stand, and strung the end of the headphone jack cable through the metal clip. Watch some binder clip life hacks, they are pretty cool. It is easy to unhook the metal part of the binder clip to thread the top of the cord-though, then the headphones can be plugged in at the top, and are unaffected by the desk being in the sitting or standing position.

    Anyway, I think this cord is great, no troubles. It serves its purpose.

    I would like to start off by saying I never leave comments for items I purchase on Amazon, because I generally only buy items that are well rated and my opinion really is never that different from the census. However, I feel compelled to leave a feedback for this item, because it is literally the most useless product you can buy. I originally received the item in fine working condition. After 2 days, the cable stopped delivery the mid to high frequency sound to the headphones connected to it (not a problem with the headphones). If you wiggle the male connector of this cable, the sound can be fixed, as long as your hand is constantly applying pressure to the piece of s*** male connector. I requested a replacement. Due to the great Amazon service, I got it overnight. However, due to the poor quality of the manufacture for these cables, the second cable did not even coming working properly brand new. It suffered the same problem, which is to say that it does not deliver mid to high frequencies. To illustrate, if you watch any video that has people talking, you will have no problems hearing the background music, but just wonder why the voices are so soft. To confirm, I have used the same headphones directly plugged into the 3.5 mm outlet and the sound is perfect. Also, the fact that this cable again, can be fixed by applying constant pressure to the male connector of the cable also illustrates that this is 100% the fault of this connector.

    It seems all the reviewers are missing an important limitation of this cable-it does not work with headphone+microphone (ie iphone buds). If you attempt to use the iphone headphones, you will barely hear any audio and the quality is terrible. This limitation should not exist and probably explains the the one-star reviews.

    Otherwise the cable works ok for a typical 3.5 mm jack. The extension cable seems to be well built. The male/female ends of the cable are thick and the cord is flexible. I don't think it is designed to extend high quality signal, but suitable for typical headphones/pc speakers.
