I simply cannot get too excited about a serial cable, and even less so about a gender bender. This little device is what it says, and it does what it says it does - turns a dude cable onto a chick cable, or vice-versa. Construction is okay, seems to hold up fine. The stand-offs canbe removed and replaced as needed. Can't say anything negative about it, and the price is right.

This is a male to male gender bender is equipped with female mounting hardware on both sides so you can securely attach to two serial cables together. As for the quality they are built well and definitely are better than the bulk I have purchased before.

C2G usually make great products. I have many of their cables and Impact video matrix and they are great, but this one seems to be an exception. The pins are very wiggly. This seems to be very cheaply made. I wouldn't use this for my AV RS-232 connection. if the outside pins are wiggly i'm sure the inside connections are not any better made. I'm very surprised C2G makes this... !

Cables to Go is always a good product. I've bought many of their products through the years. This particular cable is male on one end with female on the other. Basically an extension cord. There many other varieties available on here. Had some funky issues with the shipping. Not sure if it was C2G or Amazon (or me). I ordered multiple variations of these cables and gender changers. The order got split into several shipments (which sometimes happens) but I ended paying more shipping than product cost for some of them. Just be careful when ordering.

After contacting the supplier through Amazon, they promptly replied stating that the USPS could not locate the shipment. They had sent another order out which was received in 2 days. I have ordered many things through AMAZON and this was the only item I never received as promised. I should have contacted them sooner. After this hiccup, I would still order from them again, due to their low prices.
