HOLY COW!!!! Read this one in one evening too. Y'all, I got a girl crush on Mackenzie Grey. She is amazing, sarcastic (that's my favorite trait), so sassy, and bad ass. I so want to be her friend.

Book 2 in this series was ah-mazing. The action, the lust, the horny men (lol). Everyone wants a piece of Kenzie and most of them want her for the wrong reason - her bloodline. Secrets about her past come to light in this installment - no spoilers - and its a free for all on which Alpha will claim her. I love the Mackenzie stays resilient and doesn't compromise her values and self. This girl has principles and she is not letting go of them!

Caged is quite the page turner and never has a dull moment. I also walked away with a new found respect for Bash. I am totally feeling TEAM BASH right now.

I want to scream from the roof tops for peeps to read the is series. Karina Espinosa is a fantastic writer. These characters are very well defined and claw their way from the pages. The lively banter between all the players keeps the story flowing and the reader interested. I cannot say enough great things about Karina and this series. READ IT NOW!

This series is so unpredictable that I have no idea how things are supposed to go. Things keep getting heaped onto Kenzie and what just happened at the end was ridiculous. It doesn’t make sense to <spoiler>kill off a large group of people, who are already oppressed. I know it is to curb rebellion but none of this has been explained, like why do they hunt wolves not in a pack? Why do they treat the Lunas that way? None of this has been explained. Just l old tradition”</spoiler>

Also in book 1 they could compel, but none of that happened in this book. There were several situations where it would have been useful.

I kind of feel like this book was all over the place. What kept happening to Kenzie, event after event, was just...too much. She hasn’t had a break, she’s interested in a few people but nothing has happened really in what feels like a relationship.

I really like Roman the most, but the further we get in the book the less he is in it.

I’m not sure I want to continue this series. Yes I am interested in what happens next but I’m not too thrilled with all that’s happening. I’m getting way too many mixed signals. The writing is good though.

We come back to Mackenzie right where we left off in Shift and then jump to her new life in LA. her new life as a lone wolf was chaotic much like Mackenzie. She's like a bull in a china shop kind of girl. She's trying new things, meeting mew vampire boys and trying to get a grip on this new life. She misses her old friends but not for long as the past will always find you.

The beginning of the book throws you right in so it was a bit of an adjustment trying to catch up with Mackenzie. Once you did then you again thrown into a new direction, which is exactly something Mackenzie would do. This book is the start of not just Mackenzie as a wolf but, the world as they know it will change. There were some crazy plot points I didn't see coming and I can't wait to see how Mackenzie handles it all ( and if she chooses a boy). There's a lot of change coming so if you thought she had been handling enough wait until you finish this one.

This was good and very exciting. The complexity of fighting injustices and starting a revolution seems so daunting when you realize that that is precisely what Kenzie is planning. I don’t know how she’s going to do it, especially with the tragedy at the end of this book. The kidnapped scene was so horrifying that I didn’t enjoy reading that section...hence the four stars. The book is great, but I will not want to reread the injustices against the lunas. Once was enough. I am excited to now see how she will change these chauvinistic arses minds in the next books.

I devoured this book, and without a moment's hesitation I picked up book three, and just finished it now.
I came back to write my review for both of them since I can breathe finally. I felt like I had been holding it since I started Book 2 and through until I finished book 3.

Caged was a fantastic continuation of Mackenzie's story. Such as with the first book the pace of the book made me feel like I just started when I was almost finished. I flew through, with all the action, secrets being unveiled and the dangers encountered. This is a series that is not to be missed. Karina Espinosa is not only a fantastic storyteller but she grips the readers with her wonderful, lively characters.

If you were even somewhat of a fan of book 1 I highly recommend continuing with the series, after this one I think you'll be hooked on Karina's books for life, if not just this series.

Mackenzie has matured in this story. She still can get hot headed and act without thinking. Sometimes it works for her and sometimes there are dire consequences. She is a modern woman trying to follow her own agenda and make her way in life. She gets pulled back by those trying to force her to conform. Her caring for others is a force that puts her on a difficult track. The werewolf social standing is archaic and devalues females in this storyline. This illustrates the difficulty of changing a society and the significant consequences faced by those who try. A very well developed set of characters. Still a little limited in the action sequences, but a great read overall.

Ok, before I say anything else, if Espinosa reads reviews, she needs a better editor. The books are too good to misuse the “I and me rules!”
This story about an illegitimate kick ass woman who didn’t know she was a werewolf, adopted, or that her father was extremely powerful, is terrific. I started book two as soon as I finished book one. Ready to download three and binge some more.

Caged for the most part, is set a year after the events of Shift (the first book in the series). Mackenzie's life has drastically changed and she really is living in limbo, not moving forward or backward. Roman becomes her coping mechanism for everything she left unfinished.

When she rescues Emma, in a way, I think she sees herself and develops a maternal like attachment for her well being. This eventually leads to her returning to her old life, with the view to ensure Emma is placed with a good pack and solving the puzzle of her vision quest.

From this point on, the old character dynamics return and you see the spark of life glow brightly once again.

This ends with a major cliffhanger and I can't wait to see what Karina Espinosa has in store for her next book!
