The guitar bag is padded with stick sponge, well-made and firm shoulder strap. There’s some spare space after putting the guitar, so I can put my 41 inch guitar inside with no effort. Comparing the one I have bought before, I need to zip with force. This one is much better.

I purchased this CAHAYA gig bag to give some protection to either one of my pair of Yamaha red label FG's. The FG180 six-string was bought in 1967, my sophomore year of college. It came with a plush lined cardboard case which over the years lost its handle and got more and more torn and shapeless. Fifteen years ago I purchased the 180's soul mate, a twelve-string FG230 from an online auction site. It came with a hardshell case that weighed as much as the guitar, if not more.
I decided on this gig bag because it's billed as “40-41-42 inch” whereas the competitors are almost all described as 41 inch. The 230, which is about 3-4 inches longer than most six-strings, fits in this case with room to spare.
The padding is sufficient to protect from any (additional) dings and scratches. Don't expect it to help much if you drop the guitar.
The front pocket is big enough to fit a standard 9X12 music book including my spiral bound Mel Bay Chord Encyclopedia.
CONS: I wish the shoulder straps had easy-adjusting nylon/plastic buckles. And a “front” handle over the pocket, like some of the competitors' products, would be convenient.
I may just buy another of these and relegate the hardshell to ice chest duty.

I hesitated for a long time to buy the guitar bag from this seller as I was afraid it might be as thin as my old one. But I was very surprised when opened the package to touch the bag. The padding of the bag is much thicker which can protect my beloved guitar well especially during transportation. The most pleasant thing is that I don't need to put my guitar with force and there are around 0.7 inches left after putting my acoustic guitar. Zippers and stitching are durable. In all, it is much better than what I have estimated.
