Poet Anthony Buccino has captured the state of the country, especially at this time. His insight into the feelings that resonate with people experiencing the dreaded Friday afternoon when the boss asks you to turn over your cardkey. Or security escorts you to the door so that you won't steal computer files when you lose your job. Or the Monday morning when you show up, slip your badge into the slot and the door to the company headquarters doesn't unlock to allow you entry. Buccino has a way of describing the feelings that are universal when the words are uttered, "We're sorry, but..."

Other books of poetry and historical value by Buccino include: BELLEVILLE SONS HONOR ROLL Remembering The Men Who Paid For Our Freeom,Sister Dressed Me Funny and several others.

Anthony Buccino, one of New Jersey's foremost poets, has written a book about the F-word: FIRED! In CANNED..., each poem commiserates with all of us who have at one time or another been given the pink slip, sent out to pave the pavements in search of a new job. Here is a book for everyone who has suffered that indignation and all those who have yet to do so or will manage to retire without ever being CANNED!

I highly recommend this book!
