I still have the same pair of wraps I bought two years ago and just bought a second set to keep in my car. Still love em. Still holding up well. Over the passed two years I've realized that I get extra poundage out of these wraps because my knees are stable - not from additional elasticity. I can slam depth and keep my knees tracking properly without my loose joints complaining and shifting the load; pitching me forward. Any time I ditch them in an effort to "go full raw" I regret it. They provide little more "bounce" than a set of one-size-too-small neoprene sleeves but are much more convenient (and cheaper). These are a must for me now when handling higher volumes. I still recommend them highly.
These are exactly what I was looking for! They are relatively light wraps, certainly stiffer than ace bandages or something but not an add-75lbs-to-your-squat powerlifting wrap. I'm not a powerlifter and definitely don't wear suits to squat but these help my squat out tremendously. Not only by supporting my knees and giving me a little bounce out of the hole but also by helping, miraculously, to keep my knees shoved out throughout the lift. I wrap these medium-tight and my legs never tingle or hurt even in 12-20 rep sets. I'd highly recommend these to anyone thinking of getting some wraps. Don't think about it, don't listen to the 100% raw haters who squat less than you do, just buy these, wrap up, and do work!
But for that few minutes they're on, they're great. I have some patellar tendinitis and when doing full-depth back squats and front squats these are just enough to keep away that twinge of pain if my knee buckles a hair on the way up. With these, I can really push a little harder and heavier.
