Without me even telling her that I do daily push-ups she immediately asked me if I use push-up bars when I exercise. I said no. She told me that is the answer to my problems.
Apparently when a lot of people do regular push-ups they don't work their back muscles enough. I was stopping midway without fully extending my trapezius muscles. This was creating a lot of tension and scarring at my outer chest muscles near my shoulders causing the restriction in circulation.
The CAP barbells force you to do a full extension and within weeks I was sleeping better. Highly recommended.
But for build quality, it's a simple bent pipe with two T's that go in the ends, attached with a bolt. It'd be better (and more expensive for sure) if they were welded on, but it does the job. The plastic that meets the floor is too smooth for my liking, and though I haven't had any issues yet, I've got the fear of it sliding out from under me if I push up with them too far apart. The handle has pretty good padding, but not perfect. In general, I think they could improve on it a lot by using a more tacky rubber caps or something for the feet, and higher quality foam for the handles.
The bars allow my wrists to stay straight, sure is a big difference when you swap back and forth. Very noticeable the strain push ups put on your wrists, I am very glad I have these.
These are pretty good, but the knob used to put these together comes loose slowly. The foam wrap also slides around a little, but easy enough to put back in place. I will definitely use these for years to come.
This works SUPERB on yoga mats though, and it works fine on carpets.
The bars themselves, are made of thin metal, easy to assemble, but can be a bit wobbly if you aren't use to push ups. They are wobbly when you don't have your grip and your form correct.
To get the best results, use a yoga mat, the bars don't even move on them. The combination of the yoga mats stickyness and the bars rubber bottoms are excellent. It would still move a bit on carpet though, so becareful there too.
Also keep in mind the warning label, which I wish I had seen.

I have now owned these for 4 years, working out off and on again using these and they are still in great condition. I have literally done thousands of push-ups with these and they have not broken or become unstable in any way, even at my weight. While I still agree with my initial review that the padding on these is too thin, I have updated my rating to 5 stars simply because of their durability.
I've been using these doing P90X for a few weeks now and they support me being well over 300 lbs. The welding seams are really small so I was pretty nervous initially, but it's been around 4 weeks with no problems. I've done wide and decline and haven't fractured my face yet so I'd say they can hold a pretty serious amount of weight. I will probably fully weld these together rather than having them come apart (I don't plan to use them for travel) just to be safe, but that's more for my peace of mind than any indication the product will fail.
My only complaint is the padding could be thicker. I have Perfect Push Up ones that I used as bars previously (just kept them stationary instead of rotating) and they are much kinder on the hand.
These are a simple solution. I have had these for almost 4 years now and they are still holding up great. I can get a very effective chest workout while just being at home. The handles themselves are also comfortable.
I want to address that some people say these get "loose". This is somewhat true. You can hear a little rattling and the handles don’t fit 100% with the bottom piece. But I do not notice anything when I have all my weight on them doing pushups. This is a non issue for me.
They are simple, portable, durable, and cheap (in price)

The push bars were very easy and straightforward to assemble, I like that because I can easily put it in a backpack and carry it with me.
The push bars are sturdy, has good grip, I can now do full range push ups and it feels so great in my chest and shoulders, I can get a good stretch.
Although it is designed for push ups, it is stable and sturdy enough to hold my entire weight, I can practice L-Sits progression and not be afraid of falling or the bars bending. The feets has very good grip on wood floor.
Having said that, these are excellent otherwise. They're high and so they let you do a very deep pushup. They're very stable, and so you can do your pushups without worrying about falling or tipping. I'm a pretty big guy, so this is saying a lot. On top of that, the grips are comfortable and aren't going to break down in your first few uses. I don't know if they'll last for 5 years, but they'll definitely give you a few years before you think about a replacement.
