Adorable but needs some home modification

my 3.5 year old son has loved his Henry since he was 18 months old. The suction is adequate for small crumbs and the design is great but the quality is kinda awful. The prices come apart as you use it and things break easily. The hose is thin plastic and kinks up with normal movement. BUT! If you get a buttload of electrical tape you can turn this mediocre toy into a lasting item. I tightly wrapped electrical tape around all the joints connecting the the tubing which prevents it from falling apart as it's moved around. I had tried superglue but the bottom price broke off above the glue. I used electrical tape to reattach it. I also coated the hose in electrical tape to give it more integrity and reduce kinking. It's not pretty but it works and my son is happy

I have a similar style adult vacuum and was looking for one for my daughter. She likes things that are just like what we use and it was tricky since most kids' vacuums are the more traditional style. This was my only option and I price watched this for a LONG time since I wasn't willing to spend more than $35 for it. I went down to $16 and BAM! It's a fantastic purchase (and a great deal at that price point--seeing it now I would have paid up to $25). I comes with a lot of great accessories and it actually vacuums things up. Our daughter absolutely loves vacuuming and even sweeping things up with the dust pan and small hand broom that were included. It's a bit difficult getting everything back inside (it can all be stored inside under the lid) but fits with a bit of work. Overall, this is a great product and I'm sorry we waited so long to get it...but on the plus side, she may have been too young for it before.

So disappointed with Casdon. I got this and it came without the dust pan and small hand broom. So i requested a replacement. Just got the replacement and IT STILL DOESN'T HAVE THE DUST PAN AND SMALL HAND BROOM. So this is 2 of these in a row that have been sent out without the original Henry box (its just in the shipping box from Casdon,) and without all accessories.
On top of that, its made so junky that none of the pieces that actually were included even fit properly. We actually had to tape them to stay together for our almost 4yr old son. And i had purchased a 1lb bag of small poly balls for this toy. It sucks them up but you have to lift the hose for the balls to actually get sucked into the dust pan. So the suction isnt that great either. All in all, its very cheaply made, didnt come in the box its supposed to come in (twice) and is missing the dust pan and small hand broom (twice.)

Ok first of, it is a great little toy. Takes 4 c batteries and actually works but....

The dust cup is hard to remove for a 3 year old. It sticks unless you push down on it a bit. A design flaw. Also the green and red switch do not function... they are just build into the design. Same with the brush switches... they are pretend only. The on and off switch is in the back by the dust cup. I wish the green and red switch would have been designed to function as well as the brush switch. It would have been more realistic. Regardless my son loves it. A true vacuum lover.

This little guy is so cute - my grandson's name is Henry so I purchased it for him. He just turned five and is definitely at the "being neat" age. Can't wait for him to see it. The reviews say that it comes/falls apart when in use. I had a tough time, after testing it, to get it apart! I wouldn't recommend it for actual grown up cleaning, but it DOES pick up little bits - and the tubing is clear, so a neatnik can see what's happening. My Harry is going to love Henry!

The vacuum is not too loud and is oddly sort of soothing with its mellow humming sound. My little boy has been vacuuming the place since he pulled it out of the box. I can see why some people were saying the hose is a bit cheap or flimsy but it has held up so far and it has been WELL played with already. Overall very satisfied and will order a second one soon since my oldest now wants one to play with as well. I’m going to have the cleanest floors in town soon!!

Fun toy not built to last

I bought this vacuum toy for my grandson, Henry as a gift for his first birthday. Henry is a little obsessed with vacuums and I hoped he would like this. He actually loved it and pretty much ignored all of his other gifts. I knocked off a star for durability and sturdiness because it is clear after just one evening of play that the hose will not hold up very long. I'm sure Grandpa can rig up some sort of duct tape repair, but it's not ideal. That said, Henry absolutely loves this toy and all of the other kids at his party desperately wanted a turn. It has lots of play value and it's really adorable.

Cheap construction for the price, falls apart easily and does not vacuum anything up as advertised. Would never order this again. At least my two-year-old grandson makes his own vacuuming sounds. I am completely disappointed and would never recommend this product.

I bought this for my son as he loves to play house, and his vigorous “cleaning” led to the destruction of his previous toy vacuum cleaner.

When I was a child my parents had a Henry Hoover so led largely by nostalgia I bought this a replacement vacuum for my son. I could not be more dissatisfied with this toy.

Everything about it screams cheap. For starters, the batteries case did not come with a securing hatch meaning the batteries would just fall out if installed. Secondly, while the storage compartment has a dedicated space for the brush accessories they are not included. All of the switches and buttons are moulded and do not work. Bizarrely instead of using the actual power switch, which isn’t operable, to turn the toy on there is a separate switch on the back.

The hose, pipes and head do not secure together and will often fall apart. Much to the frustration of my son.

All in, this is a sorry and disappointing reproduction of the iconic Henry Hoover.

A short tube, missing bit, irritated child ...

I have bought this as a gift far far in advance as it was on sale hence I did not unpacked the item. I wrapped this in a gift paper where afterwards the little boy realised that there is a missing bit from the toy (little handle which you catch when you want to twist the cable back into hoover - hence the cable is out all the time). The button to switch it on/off in original place is fake and a working button to is on a side also hardly to operate. The length of the tube is so short and my god-son gets irritated as the hoover is constantly pomp into his feet. Furthermore, it result in low interested of the child in this toy. In overall very disappointed with product. Would be grate if the producer could send me a missing bit (as it is to be screw in) however I couldn't ask for it as I couldn't find a button to contact seller directly.

I bought this for my son (who was 2 at the time) just over a year ago as I have a Hetty vacuum cleaner and he was obsessed with it. He was so excited about it and loved following me around with his own little version.

The on/off button doesn't actually push down, which my son was disappointed with and the plastic tube is quite flimsy and comes apart quite easily. The hose often twists right round and kinks too and the 'plug' sucker often pops off the wall. It does pick up a little, I often find a little bit of fluff in the box at the back, but it's obviously only powered by a battery so it's not going to clean the floor.

Although he got a few months enjoyment out of this, he soon became bored with it. Although this toy is OK I don't think I would recommend, if I had to buy another toy vacuum cleaner I would choose something else.

Now she's 10 and as she's got good at crawling she pushing the pipe around the room as if she's hoovering . It's really cute. Don't hesitate on buying it. It's really a good toy. Disgraceful quality and not fit for purpose

I recently bought this for my little boy who is hoover mad. I have now returned it for a refund as over the course of less than 2 days then whole thing literally fell apart. It arrived with a crack in the nozzle which attaches the pipe, as a result it wouldn't stay on, later that night the nozzle broke completely. The following morning one of the switches fell off and later in the afternoon the vacuum head snapped. This was not as a result of rough play by any means. I am surprised the Henry brand let this shoddy company produce these. If there was an option for zero stars I would have chose that. I have since purchased the Klein Theo Vileda for him and can say that this is much better quality.
