The knife came very sharp from the package, and after 1 day of use I did not see any sign of rust.
I did not have any 8 inch knife before, so I was very well surprised with the size! It is big, bit it is also very light for it's size!
The handle is very comfortable, and the knife is well balanced.
I am not an expert in knifes but I have used before good steel knifes before, and this one is one of them.
The only drawback I see is the fact that the back of the blade is not extremely thin, so when I cut large onions or carrots, it is a bit difficult. (Again, I am a chef)
Otherwise, slicing tomatoes is like a dream, it's therapy. I love it.
I wanted to give it as a gift but now I want to keep it. XD
If you are looking for a large knife that isn't quite as bulky as a Chef's Knife
look no further. You won't be dissapointed.
