I purchased CATAPULT ONE on 28th Feb 2022 and it was good for couple of months. It worked as expected and then it started creating problems while synching up. I worked with Product support, their response was fine, and they even provided a replacement. It still didn’t work, after using the new tracker, sessions were showing fragmented and not able to get the statistics. I don’t know where the problem is, tracker or the vest. I am not sure if the design of Tracker automatically switching on when connected to vest is the best way. It could be the vest issue, overall, I don’t like it and don’t expect things to go wrong so soon, with such an expensive purchase. I don’t know what is next, my son lost the statistics for many matches, trainings etc.

Starting with the second session, the sensor stopped recording sessions. It records for a random interval of 15-20 min and the stops. Same thing happened with my earlier Catapult. I dropped that sensor once and felt that was the reason for it... But this one is my second one and is a brand-new product, recorded first game ok, and did not record games two and three. I bought it a while back in preparation for a new soccer season and cannot even return it now. Stay away from this product. It is a great idea, but wait for someone to actually execute it well.

Downloaded the App on the playstore and put in the player particulars after charging the pod until it was fully powered. Then placed the pod into the vest and did a session on the field. After the session tried to sync the pod and it failed. It failed to connect over and over again. Without the app the bluetooth is identifying the pod but requests a pin which is not provised. With the app it fails to connect. A failed product

Easy to start and motivating!

I was surprised with how easy it was to get started -- my pod paired easily with my phone and all i needed to do was pop the pod into the vest when i wanted to start tracking. It's really cool to see the actual data from my practices and games, and I've become pretty obsessed with analyzing my heat map on game days. If you're a competitive player looking to get better, you'll find a lot here to help you understand your performance. I thought the training videos were helpful for getting started, but really hope they continue to add more to help me get a better sense of how to best use Catapult One throughout the rest of the season and the off-season.

I used the attached size guide (search online for "catapult vest size guide" in-case they update this but review guidelines restrict sharing external URLs directly here) couldn't to check which size vest and I went with M. When I opened it looked like it would be a bit tighter than the 88.9cm measurement by about 10cm but turns out it stretches comfortably to fit and has probably about another 10cm extra give for movement. Referring to the aforementioned size guide: "As with any heart rate monitor, the application to the skin needs to be secure, while ensuring it is not uncomfortable or restrictive to wear" so it hugs the body snugly but after a while I forgot I was wearing it.

The phone app was pretty easy to setup with an option to register via a google account.

Initial gotcha's:
- the device arrives with pretty close 0 battery so be prepared to wait a couple of hours to fully charge before using.
- to charge, the device comes with a soap-dish looking plate that has a USB-C type socket and a cable to go with to plug into traditional USB 2.0 type port for power. This wirelessly charges it (presumably so that the device needn't have any water proofing issues with a direct USB port) - however I initially was waiting a while before I realised plugging this into my macbook wasn't charging it! It was when I switched to one of my USB battery packs that I realised this because charging should light up the device!

Pod arrived nicely packaged, feel high quality and super easy to get set up. Really like the wireless charger!
The only small disappointment was it didn't arrive charged so I have to wait a couple of hours before I could configure it. Once charged however it was very easy and I was able to run a session without even having to press a button. I enjoyed looking through my stats in the leaderboards, and analyzing where on the pitch my power efforts and sprints took place. Looking forward to doing some benchmarking and seeing if I could cut it in the 60 minute workouts soon.
