“Drawing on the interdisciplinary findings of scientists from around the world, McTaggart concludes that an intent formed in the mind is capable of profoundly affecting the real world. In one experiment, a scientist formed the mental intent to change the pH level of water in a beaker. Over several days of focused thought, he tested the water and found that its reading matched his intended level. In other words, the physical world was affected by the mental world. Tiller says, “For the last 400 years, an unstated assumption of science is that human intention cannot affect what we call physical reality. Our experimental research of the past decade shows that, for today’s world and under the right conditions, this assumption is no longer correct.” If Tiller is right and our focused intent can indeed affect our living reality, the implications for CEOs are staggering. Forming and keeping the proper intent with regards to your Culture, People, and Numbers can literally change the world around you.”
When water evaporates the volume of the solution decreases, but the mole amount of the solute remains the same, so its concentration increases. In an acidic solution, evaporation decreases the pH. However, in a basic solution, evaporation increases the pH.
To assert that the CEO can change physical reality with concentrated thought and attention is just insane and devalues the following pages.
The theme of the book is to add vision and value to how you see your company. I suggest you get it, read it and most importantly implement the ideas discussed in this book.
