Feeding Instructions

Filet Mignon Flavor: Feed adult dogs approximately 3 1/2 trays daily per 10 lbs. body weight.

Porterhouse Steak Flavor: Feed adult dogs approximately 3 1/2 trays daily per 10 lbs. body weight.

Filet Mignon Flavor With Bacon & Potato: Feed adult dogs approximately 4 trays daily per 10 lbs. body weight.

Prime Rib Flavor: Feed adult dogs approximately 3 2/3 trays daily per 10 lbs. body weight.

Grilled Steak & Eggs Flavor: Feed adult dogs approximately 3 1/2 trays daily per 10 lbs. body weight.

Grilled New York Strip Flavor Vegetables in Sauce: Feed adult dogs approximately 3 2/3 trays daily per 10 lbs. body weight

Transition Instructions

Make sure that when you transition your pets to the new food you should do it slowly over the course of 3 weeks. Start with 25% new food for the first week, and 75% old food. Week 2 will consist of a 50/50 mixture, with week 3 being 75% new and 25% old. Week 4 should allow the pet to go completely and solely on the new food. If at any point in the transition period diarrhea occurs, we would recommend taking a step back to the previous step for another week. This will help their digestive tract to change over more easily to the new food. It can take 4 to 6 weeks for their digestive tract to adjust to a new diet.

I can't say enough good things about this product. It's my little Sophie's favorite food. I have her so spoiled ....I feed it to her on my lap with a plastic fork. She does not like a metal fork to hit her teeth. But she has been eating this product, as well as their solid food, for most of her 12 years now and is in really good shape for an older Mini-Mini Schnauzer. It's just enough for her...I keep it in the refrigerator. She seems to have trouble chewing solid dog food....(but come to think about it, she chews up a bone quickly when she finds one outdoors....little stinker!) Anyway, the food really smells good enough for a person to eat. It's so handy too, to take along somewhere. It could also be mixed with solid dog food. Sophie won't eat out of a plate or dish because she doesn't want her little beard to get dirty. She hates being dirty. My spoiled little baby!!!

I tried a number of grain free and more expensive foods for my Cavalier but they all made him gassy. He wouldn’t even try some of them. I have also read that the FDA has warned that more expensive and exotic foods that are grain free and contain legumes and mostly potatoes are missing essential nutrients for heart health. Cesar is the only food that he loves and doesn’t upset his stomach. I stick to beef and chicken only.

When I can get my notoriously fickle Brussels Griffon Trixie to eat something new, it’s time to break out the champagne. I can understand Trixie's side of the story. The base of her diet is kibble, which has to be the lowest form of food for any animal.
I feed Trixie Beneful kibble, the only kibble she likes. But she wouldn't touch the kibble until I began adding 1/4 of a container of Cesar's wet dog food to each of her two daily meals. This means a container will get you two days of deluxe food. And for Trixie at least, it does not promote diarrhea, at least not for Trixie,

My dog likes it, and she's spoiled enough to sometimes refuse dog food. When I feed her I have to give mouthfuls to a couple of my cats to keep their noses out of it- and cats are pickier than dogs. Caesars doesn't have top ratings for ingredients, but my dog didn't like more expensive brands that I tried. I mix it with dry food to make sure she gets all needed nutrients (and for teeth).
The small containers are convenient for a small dog. Empty ones are reusable for treats.

I loved the convenience of buying in bulk. However, my 5lb maltese for whom 1 can of the pate consistency ‘flavors’ normally lasts 3 days would only eat half of the flavors in the meat collection. He wouldn’t touch anything with pieces of meat, and the porterhouse and prime rib are too rich for him. Thankfully the stray kitty I feed isn’t picky as long as I make it a rare treat.
