Light C Clamp Bracket

Holds the Light I have attached to it well. The only thing I realize I wish it had was a piece maybe inside on the inner part of the bracket where the bold turned into. As it locks to a pole or maybe a thin stand, the only thing grabbing that stand or pole is the bracket itself and what is securing it is the bolt that's screwing into it. That screw isn't really with a steady piece wide enough on the end to lock it into place. Keep that in mind if you're looking for a bracket. However, for the price, you can't go wrong. I just shoved a piece of rubber in between the bolt and the pole i was securing the whole thing to and it worked just fine.

I purchased these for my mobile DJ business, and have used them to hold lights on Ultimate Support light trees and speaker stands, as well as on Trusst Glo Totems and Global Truss box truss. The insert can be swapped out to fit various diameter stands/truss. I don't remember the weight rating, but it is plenty for what I need as a mobile DJ.

The only issue is that the inserts won't fit into my existing O-Clamps (from a different manufacturer). They are very similar in design/appearance, but won't quite fit. During setup, I have to dig through the box to match up the Chauvet inserts with the Chauvet Clamps, etc. Not a major problem, and going forward, I will purchase more of the same manufacturer, just so all clamps will fit all inserts. It is just a little hassle when you have some clamps mounted on Golbal Truss box truss and some on smaller diameter tripods, and you have inserts that don't fit... it takes time to find the right insert or to remove the clamps and swap them with the other manufacturer's, since you have those inserts handy.

These clamps work fin on most larger diameter tubes. If you try to use them on a light stand, they're too wide for the mast, but not by much. You might need to find some sort of metal cap to go over the bolt so it can get a firm grip on tube diameters slightly smaller than what the clamp is designed for.

Not sure I like the fact that these don't have any rubber padding to protect the finnish of whatever the clamp is used on, or that it has a ribbed form which puts two sharp edges in contact with the tube. That can't be good for the finnish.

I also don't like where the graple fixture is located for bolting the light to in relation to the clamp's thumb-screw knob. Kind of gets in the way of the light's yoke, especially split yokes.

Get 'em before they're gone!

This product is the best thing since oat meal was invented! Initially I bought four of these and they make set up and tear down so easy that I went back and bought more. The removable inserts allow you to attach any lighting fixture to any size T-bar, or truss member there is. They are designed VERY beefy to support even the heaviest fixture, and the clamping mechanism is designed NOT to swing all the way open, which keeps fixtures from accidentally falling when loosened. Amazing item, and they ship them unrealistically quick, not to mention that the price is unbeatable! Other websites show these same items at more than double the cost, plus then the shipping. These shipped free from Amazon... now I want to buy more lighting, so I can buy even more of these O-clamps. I can see I'm going to have to increase my budget!
Is there another word that is better to use than OUTSTANDING?!?

They do their job with two drawbacks

I purchased two of these to go on some of inexpensive, small LED work lights that I bring around with me in the spaces I work in. I Originally wanted to get mega clamps, but decided on these instead because they don't need a wrench to be adjusted, which I thought might be a good option for just being able to toss some light up quickly.

These C-Clamps do their job. They stay put on pipes and other mounting surfaces, but their design makes them frustrating in two ways:

First, because the clamp Is bent in on itself a lot and it is small, you have to totally unthread the tensioning bolt to get it to slide on to the pipe, then totaly tension it to store it in a smaller space. threading the tensioning bolt in or out all the way takes a fair amount of time. When all the way out, the tensioning bolt also gets in the way of focusing the light where it needs to go. If you are mounting the light on a bigger light it wont be as easy to focus.

Second, the attach point for the clamp is annoying, the combination of washers, bolts, and wing nut that chauvet picked do not serve my purpose, I ended up getting a different combination of hardware the next time I was at Home Depot.

I would not use these c-clamps for theatrical lights, they work okay for mounting temporary work lights, but they would suck for theater.

I purchased this not for it's intended purpose. I had read on forums online that this was just the right size to mount a Hi-Lift Jack onto the roof rack of a 2012 Nissan Xterra. Unfortunately this is designed for a 2" tube, and the Xterra roof rack is comprised of 2.2" tubes, which was just enough to stop one from using this!

That being said, it was clearly a very beefy mounting bracket, and had it fit onto my 2.2" tube I'm sure it would have held anything I wanted onto that tube for years to come. I think it could have mounted on a pipe just under 2", say maybe 1.75", up to about 2.15".

Does what is promised! It securely holds my LED fixtures and portable dimmers to my house pipes! Items came quickly as expected. The only downfall is that the product boxes get trashed (probably during shipping) because they are such a heavy item inside a fairly thin product box. Amazon boxes are solid and don't show any signs of indent... In reality though - once you receive it, you'll end up throwing the box away anyways - not like this is meant to stay on the shelf!!!
