With all that being said, beware the limitations of this particular product! What I didn't read until I went to Chauvet's website is that this particular "dongle" is limited to 100 DMX channels OR 10 fixtures! It's my own mistake for not researching this enough but when I saw the 100 dmx channels I wasn't worried as my full setup runs at around 80 DMX channels if I compress them down. But I have more then 10 fixtures and with this dongle plugged in automatically removes them from your editing and live views. So while 10 of your fixtures you've spent so much time editing show up correctly, the rest simply vanish. Unplugging the dongle will show the "missing" fixtures correctly again.
If you have more then 10 fixtures that you want to control you will need to spend around twice the money on the Chauvet Xpress 512 ($450), which is what I ultimately did. I'm giving it 4 stars because it is a great product but the description needs some tweeking so this wont happen to anyone else.
The software for it must be downloaded from Chauvet's website. Also, it isn't the easiest or intuitive software to use, but it gets the job done and can perform some complex controls.
