They are a good-looking shoe that my son says fits him well and are very comfortable.
The fit was true to size and they are a very comfortable nice casual weekend shoe.
Only negative is the bottom tends to grab onto dirt really well almost to the point of stickiness.

For a couple of decades I have missed the desert boots/moccasins I used to wear in California in the 60s. There was nothing like them, but I couldn't justify spending over $100 for shoes that I could wear for casual occasions only. Finally, I broke down last month and ordered a pair of Clarks of England Original Wallabee boots. I was somewhat concerned because I could not find wide ones, but I ordered 10.5 Mediums (instead of 10 W). When they arrived they looked fine, impeccably packaged, with proper tags and a booklet. Then, much to my chagrin, I noticed that they were "Made in China." What a huge disappointment for me. After a bit of research I found out that the Ilminster plant in Somerset (England) closed its doors about 2 years ago (2005) because Clarks could not stay competitive. The bosses stated that because of the soaring cost of labor in the UK they had to source production of the shoes to the Far East. That's the bad news. The good news is that, although miffed, I must admit that the shoes are well made, light and exactly as comfortable as I remember them. They have a supple, breathable suede upper, cushioned insole, and a flexible crepe sole. They are beautifully finished and, after one month, I can say they wear well. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of this product. I ought to have bought them ½ size smaller, since the width seems to accommodate to one's foot as the shoes are worn. I bought the Sand Suede, but the boots come also in Beeswax, Black and Brown Oily Leather, and Black and Brown Suede. Scuffmarks and dirt clean off easily with a suede or leather brush. I wore mine in the rain and they seem none the worse, even though I have not used any water repellent on them. If you like the looks of mocs, I think you will like the "new" Clarks Original Wallabees.

Excellent quality shoe but the size of the shoe runs at least a size larger than most other shoes you buy. I normally wear a size 13, I ordered a size 13, and now I must wear a very thick sock to make up for the extra room. I believe a size 12 would have probably fit just fine.

These shoes are stylish ugly. Stylish ugly is common to Thinkpads or early model VW cars. I love how understated they are and how they look well matched with jeans or dressier pants. Their comfort is unparalleled. They give the feeling of walking on a thick pile carpet. The leather Wallabees break in more slowly than suede models. Wear them for short periods until the leather stretches.

I really didn't need shoes but I bought these for use as a Walter White/Heisenberg Breaking Bad costume prop. The reviews I read said the size ran a bit large so I ordered a half size smaller. They were snug when I put them on, but not tight. I imagine they will stretch a bit because of the material they are made of. So half size smaller did work for me. They come in a medium width. So if you wear say an 11W, you might just as well order an 11. The reason I didn't give this a 5 star is there is hardly any "ball of the foot" cushioning. I'll have to add some kind of insert if I wear these other than for costuming. Heel is okay but the rest of your foot feels like it's on a cement floor. For $90 I would have thought the shoe would have been of better comfort.
UPDATE- My review above was for the black Wallabee. I ordered again but this time in tan. Same quality, ordered a half size smaller.so the fit is good. These shoes automatically come in Wide width. These tan shoes were $128. Very pricey but authentic to the costume use I need them for.

Size: 8.5 D(M) USColor: Brown Suede Verified Purchase
I wear Sz. 9 in most shoes/sneaks; and as the Wallabees used to run large, I had purchased the 8.5 Wallabee (Maple Tan Suede) 2 years ago, and they fit great...enough room to replace the existing cushioned insole with a thick orthotic in one shoe with room to spare. So I ordered another sz 8.5D this time in brown suede, but they've changed significantly. First, the sizing is quite different. An 8.5 was too snug even w/o the orthotic. Second, Clarks no longer uses the cushioned / removable footbed.. just a small and thin 1/2 sole covering just the rear half of the otherwise flat insole. So the shoes are immediately less "cushy", really have no arch support; though if you buy your normal size there may be just enough room to add an aftermarket insole.. A few other noticeable differences: a taller/stiffer heel counter (which may be good or not), stitching is coarser then before, etc.
I returned the size 8.5 ; and tried on a size 9 elsewhere...it probably would work but is still less roomy than the 8.5 from a year or two ago. SO...whatever you've read about these running large...that's no longer true. I'm personally disappointed in general about the somewhat lowered quality in this boot, which used to be my favorite, and which is not inexpensive; but to a 1st-time buyer, that might not matter.
