I have been a devoted Clarks shoe wearer for more years than I can recall. so I know Clarks.. and have purchased a number of this style shoe in the past..................... THESE are not the same.
The heel bed is not the SPRINGER design. There is NO FLEX in the heel as the original design that the devoted Clarks wears have grown to LOVE AND TRUST>. these as a CHEAP KNOCK OFF..
...... and Clarks has obvious outsourced the NAME
...... the feel of the straps are rough and not the bedroom slipper comfort I am use to
The whole shoe bed is not flexible. more like a flat THICK slab of rubber.....Much like the soles of shoe's I saw sold on the streets of Mexico made out of used TIRE tread.
. I am very very Disappointed in Clarks decision to OUTSOURCE these to some no name China factory to make this INFERIOR PRODUCT.
I will be looking for another shoe company if this remains the companies PLAN for development.
I am sorry to say the Clarks shoes I received were a big disapointment. #1 Shoddy workmanship: The middle buckle of the right shoe was upside down causing the little hook/prong to face backwards. The straps of the right shoe did not match the same placement of the left shoe. #2: The leather of the shoe is poor quality. The straps stretched within a very short time and allowed my toes to hang over the front of the shoes. And last but not least the sizes run small and had I known that I would have ordered a l/2 size bigger. I purchased the same shoes some years ago at Nordstroms. Great quality and a joy to wear. At that time they were made in England. Now they are made in China. Buyer beware if you are expecting a quality product. I so enjoyed my Clarks over the years, but now I feel I've lost a friend. I will have to find another brand.
I sent these back on principle today - I will not support a manufacturer who lies about the materials on the products. Clarks needs to either go back to a leather product or advertise these as the synthetic uppers that they are. Although Clarks has been a favorite of mine for more than 30 years, I will not be buying shoes from them in the future unless they correct this issue.
