CONS: The front of the shoe is way too tight (in HEIGHT, not width) and will dig into your feet unless you're blessed with small feet. You may be able to see on the pic where my left foot appears red because of this issue. I had to stretch the shoes out first using the ice in the freezer trick (freeze a bag of water inside the front of the shoe where the offending area is overnight) AND apply Bodyglide Original Anti-Chafe Balm, 1.5oz (Packaging May Vary) for the whole first week. Once you break into them though, they're perfect.
Also, the shoe is nice and toasty, but not very breathable. If you're prone to smelly foot sweat, consider adding a thin odor fighting insole inside.
SIZING: I'm a 8.5W in casual shoes, and 9 in athletics. In Clarks, I'm a 8.5W in any models with wide sizing available, and 9 when there isn't, Technically, this shoe fits true to actual number size but wide. I ended up ordering a 9 REGULAR as a result. The regular fits my wide feet extremely well in width, with a bit of room to spare. I went up to a 9 specifically because of some reviews noting the pinching at the top issue. I would highly recommend you do the same if you have *ahem* larger foot bones like I do. If I didn't size up, the tight pinching would occur right on top of my big toe joint area, which I imagine would be way worse.
I hope this review was helpful!
