I ordered this product to replace the same product that I bought a few years ago. I had used the previous one for years and it always worked perfectly (no pulls, even trim, highly effective) until I dropped it on tile and some parts broke in the process. This replacement is horrible... same exact product supposedly down to the brand, number, and etc, but this one is horrible. It pulls, it doesn't trim evenly and it easily takes me 5 times as long to trim the same area as it's predecessor... And that time is painful given the amount of pulling. Not sure what changed but not pleased and will not be recommending or repurchasing.

Over the years I have tried a lot of shaver and trimmer, expensive, inexpensive, complex and simplex ones, from well known brands (Panasonic, Phillips, Norelco... you name it) to unknown ones. So far this is the only one that I have found to work very well, it's almost impossible to get a cut or nick even if purposely trying but despite such greatness this trimmer is lacking. It's a shame that such good head/blades design is wasted in a piece with so many shortcomings, it's easily broken, made of cheap plastic, no rechargeable battery and so on. So I find myself eagerly looking for a better alternative but coming back to it as all my attempts buying others products have been disappointing, therefore I'm reluctantly forced to give a five start rating to this great yet disappointing trimmer.

To make the Cleancut most effective, trim the hair to stubble with another electric micro razor (like the one on back of a Norelco or Braun razor or a nose hair trimmer with a horizontal set of sliding cutters). After the hair is between 1/16" and 1/32" short, hold the Cleancut in your dominant hand and place your non-dominant hand on the stubble to be cut. Sweep your non-dominant hand against the stubble grain immediately followed by the Cleancut. This has the effect of lifting the stubble vertical so the Cleancut will cut the stubble leaving you very smooth. DO NOT PRESS the Cleancut too hard into the skin--only light touch to the skin. The foil is not meant to flex more than a millimeter, if that. You must clean the razor after every use. When you unscrew the top and carefully lift off the blades, you will find a fine micro-dust of hair trimmings that need to be cleaned off to keep the blade spinning at the correct speed to achieve a clean and close shave. Until I used the hand technique with the Cleancut, I did not achieve a smooth shave, but just a shorter stubble cut.

I am going on year 3 with this trimmer! By far the best trimmer I've ever purchased as the trimmers I used to buy would break after a few weeks. This one has lasted me 3 YEARS! I never put it near water, I only trim when I'm completely dry, and after use, I clean out the hair, remove the battery, and place it back in its original package and keep it in a drawer in my room. This trimmer cuts the hair short and if you don't inspect up close it looks like I've shaved. Also, it's never cut me! I recommend this trimmer to all of my friends! Eventually when it does break on me I will definitely be purchasing another! I HIGHLY recommend!

I was specifically recommended this trimmer by a friend who uses it on herself and her husband, which sold me on at least trying it. It's lightweight and easy to maneuver into all necessary, um, corners downstairs (posting up in front of a mirror helps). I haven't hurt myself (yay!). The trim is very close to what you'd get from shaving and has led to no irritation, bumps, or itching whatsoever—which is what I wanted! My only warning is that I used to carefully create a gradient of hair on my mons with scissors and a razor and shave the rest bare, but this thing is so quick and easy that laziness has overtaken me and I've gone completely bare every time since I purchased it (two months ago). It doesn't really encourage subtlety or anything but a hard "hair/no hair" line.
This is the second one I've purchased—the first one fell from about 5 feet onto my bathroom floor and exploded into all its component parts (bits of copper and plastic—nothing broken, just knocked out of place and onto the floor. The whole thing opened up). So it isn't so sturdy that you can drop it and not have a small puzzle on your hands (the pieces are loosely arranged inside the device, so it isn't clear what goes where; I couldn't get it working again after trying to put it back together). That said, it's made my life much easier such that I didn't even think to try a different trimmer rather than reordering this one.

I've been using this shaver to keep my pubic area smooth for more than eight years as of this writing. I also use a small personal shaver to shorten any pubic hair that is a bit too long to remove with the Cleancut, and a personal shaver is also what you'll need to trim pubic areas that you don't wish to shave smooth with the Cleancut. (If you use the Cleancut every couple of days or so, you'll probably not need to pre-trim your pubic hairs in those areas you like smooth to the touch.) Years before buying this shaver, I could only trim close with a personal shaver and never get the smooth shave I wanted in certain areas. I'd never used a razor blade for this purpose (scary to think of using one in this sensitive area). I came across articles and videos advertising the Cleancut after researching how to do this without using a razor blade, and I was sold. My technique for using the Cleancut is to gently touch it to the area to shave (and not slide it around) and repeat for all areas needing it (you'll hear it cut the hairs), and this keeps the nicks and irritation at a bare minimum if any. I do this without shaving cream or shaving powder so I can really see what I'm doing down there, and I've never had a problem. Using the Cleancut with a personal shaver keeps me trimmed and very smooth. The shaver has performed perfectly for almost a decade, so it's definitely well-made.

After scouring amazon for ages looking for something that was going to get rid of the forrest that was growing around down below, I found I couldn’t find any honest reviews giving a simple aye or naw if a product shaver/trimmer was any good for guys or not.
I decided to give this a go. And yes, it does the job brilliantly on the hairy sensitive toilet area of the body. Smooth & no nicks. Let’s face it lads, that’s why your reading the reviews on here. It’s so good, I bought an extra one just incase.

It’s good for both the hairy pit on underarms & great for the baw area too. Totally smooth, nae forrest left & no nicks.

It's a great product, does shave as close as a wet shave but great for nether regions, loose and flabby skin. I have tried to go over skin tags but I haven't had any nicks even with small tags.

You can also buy replacement blades and foil every year to keep a good quality close shave.

2 things to watch out for:-

Take the battery out when cleaning as there is no safety mechanism to stop blades spinning with the foil removed.

Put the cover back on straight away when in use. Mine rolled off my counter and damaged the foil. Don't do this as the blades and foil are pricey to replace for accidental damage.

Very gentle and easy to use. Works perfectly and still working.
Some advice/experience from my long-term usage: this is not a trimmer. If I have left my hair to grow to some length after some time, I use a trimmer to trim the hair shorter. This is important because this product doesn't do well when the hair curls. Trim the hair/area first so the hair is short enough to be standing straight. Then can use this shaver to shave the hair down to skin level. Expect to spend 30mins-1hour shaving since this is a long slow delicate process. So make sure you are comfortable and some place where you won't be disturbed/distracted.

This was faulty within the first month... my last one lasted 14 years and was branded by seiko clean cut... sadly the inside corroded from a battery leak my fault.. but this new version just let me down and the motor kept stopping very quickly then you would have to free the head by hand to make it work for a few seconds... I would not buy another one as I only ever saw non branded versions all called clean cut... it let me down.. lesson learnt.
That said the seller has refunded me in full with no issue so as a seller I would buy from them again.
