During setup you will choose between 6 different adventurers and collect your starting gear and player sheet to keep track of your skills as you level up. You level up by gaining experience through killing enemies. There are a TON of enemy mini's in this game and they are all very detailed, one in particular is a rather large spider /shudder. Anyway, the game board itself is made up of different double sided tiles depending on which quest you partake in. There is a diagram for each to show how to set it up and where to place door tokens and other adventure tokens based on your objectives. Here is where the fun begins.....
When you start you really can't see anything on the board. It's when you approach and open a door to a room that it gets interesting. When you open a door, you draw a "door" card. On this card it will show what treasure chests are in the room and where and also what enemies are in there as well. Then the battle for the treasure commences! Get in, kill all the monsters and collect the loot. Usually there are 2-3 treasure chests in each room but not to worry, there are soooooooooo many treasure cards included with this game it's crazy. Also on top of that, as you move further into the dungeon you will gain access to higher level areas which allow you to equip higher level gear.
If I were to name something I didn't much care for in this game I guess it would be the setup time. There are A LOT of cards to shuffle and place on the table. A stack for each level of gear 1 through 5 and another stack for each level of enemies that spawn 1 through 5. Not to mention the door cards and event cards and roaming monster cards both lesser and greater monsters plus more. On top of that you have a plethora of tokens to sort. That being said, the gameplay and fun you will have playing this MORE than makes up for the long setup time.
Also another thing is that there is a variant built in where you can play a story campaign mode. Basically you level up slower and a couple of the rules change a bit with how you equip loot but you can keep your adventurer and the loot he/she has gathered and their skills through multiple playthroughs. Personally I didn't find that mode as much fun myself. As cool as the thought of slowly building up your character sounds, the quests don't really feel like they work off each other so it doesn't really seem like a single big story. Also you end up collecting a bookoo of gear that is too high of level for you and have to just lug it around for hours before you can ever equip it. Heck, the most fun of the game is getting to draw loot and equip it!
All in all I would say this is one of my favorite games to date. I am eager to get some new quests to try out and test out a few of the different adventurers.
Very much looking forward to seeing how all these turn out, and maybe even playing the whole thing one day!
Looks like a fun game.

Very much looking forward to seeing how all these turn out, and maybe even playing the whole thing one day!
Looks like a fun game.
This game is fairly easy to pick up and learn. We typically will play in a group of 4 for about 4-6 hrs.
Turns out no problem at all. I explain (and rexplain) the occasional more complicated rule, and manage some aspects of the dungeon, but otherwise my son gets it and loves looting and rolling the dice. It has been a great bonding experience. The game really isn't that complicated and reminds me a lot of Warhammer Quest. The game is easily interrupted, you don't need to sit there and run the whole thing. We often spread a dungeon over several days, no problem. Just sit down and pick it back up whenever.
A great game for those looking for manageable rules and good, simple dungeon fun.
Our first game was a wipe, which we expected. But our second one was more successful. We didn't try story mode but plan on doing so the next time we play.
It comes with quite a few figures which are well crafted and sturdy. For the price and what comes with the base set, it's worth giving it a try.

Advertencia... hay que leer varias veces las reglas para ir refinando correctamente detalles importantes.
The miniature quality is incredible, currently painting all miniatures and about halfway done, they look incredible.
Higly recommended, both product and seller.
