The TIM10 CO2 Monitor lets you quickly, accurately, and inexpensively test CO2 levels around your home. Move it from room to room to test CO2 levels in your house. It can reveal if your home's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system is operating properly. High CO2 levels indicate inadequate or closed return air ducts. Low CO2 levels indicate too much fresh air and wasted heating or cooling energy. In addition to its CO2 meter, the TIM10 has an accurate digital thermometer and relative humidity indicator. Use it to test your child's bedrooms. Low humidity in the winter can lead to nosebleeds, coughs, and sore throats. High humidity in the summer can result in mold and even structural damage. Do you own a greenhouse? Increasing CO2 makes flowering plants, vegetables, and seedlings grow bigger and faster. Working in the garage? Kerosene heaters, gasoline and diesel engines give off huge clouds of CO2 in addition to more deadly gasses. The TIM10 CO2 Monitor will warn you with an alarm before the exhaust fumes become dangerous.

Now for a short story..
I've recently been on a mission to figure out why my sleep quality is so bad. I thought I liked to sleep in, but lately I really want to wake up early, but when I do, I just end up falling back to sleep for another couple hours.
My room doesn't have a ventilation system, just door and window. I usually sleep with both closed. But after seeing the readings this morning, I will be changing that!
According to the unit, good air is less than 700 ppm; normal air less than 1000ppm; poor air above 1000 ppm.
CO2 readings before sleeping (closed door/window) were around 600-700ppm @ ~11PM
CO2 readings this morning around 8am-9am.. 1500ppm!!!
CO2 readings as I write this review with the window closed and door wide open and fan circulating air in the room, 537 ppm.
Contradicting my findings, I did wake up feeling fairly well rested. I think due to the Germ Guardian air purifier running all night on low which I recently started doing to keep particulate matter low (only because my newly acquired Dylos air quality monitor displayed high readings ).
Reasons for keeping window closed is dust and external sounds (cars/trains). As a possible solution for dust, I might look into a special window screen that blocks dust and other particulate matter.
Included is a photo of my first reading in the morning waking up with closed door/window (CO2 reading showing ~1500ppm). Dylos air monitor shown with excellent air quality reading (HEPA air purifier was running all night on low).
UPDATE #1: Night Two
When the room is empty with closed door and window, the CO2 levels drop into the 400 ppm range.
With one person sleeping in the room, CO2 increased to 1000ppm in about 3 hours. Opening a window slightly allowed the CO2 level to drop to around 850ppm. To reduce dust, I placed a Cut-to-Fit Carbon Pad for Air Purifiers in the window opening. This has slowed down the dust particles significantly. Will have to see how effective it is during the day.
The only thing better would be if it would keep a history that could be exported via USB (or wirelessly!) for charting over time, or if it could be integrated into a DIY environmental control system.
Yeah, the menus require the manual to make meaning out of the codes, but that was easy and a one-time setup thing. There's room for improvement but it's not a big deal.
For the price, no complaints!
Contact with customer service friendly, but apparently unit is either not repairable, or it is not cost effective (for whom?) to do return to working order.
Very happy with unit while it worked.
Not pleased with short working life.
I highly recommend this product!
One thing that I find particularly useful is that it helps me decide how much fresh air I need from the window. With this meter, I no longer worries about making plans on when and how long I need to open windows, so it really simplifies my life. I will definitely recommend it.
Unit performs as expected. CO2 levels are as expected. I don't have inside air quality issues as suggested by NETATMO. However, this experience did show a need to pay closer attention to the air quality inside our home.
