Flawless simple design - strong yet not bulky, balanced carrying handle, good weight, fire-seal lid, easy-to-use, ensures fire-safety during most dangerous phase of fire-tending - ash/coals extraction from stove and transport to safe area outside house. A long-lasting, GOOD machine with only one moving part at a fair price.

This is the second one I have had in the 30 years I've owned my Lopi airtight wood burning heater and I strongly recommend it. The first one simply rusted out. Not leaving it out in wet weather would have prolonged its use.

Everything about this style ash bucket is a plus, from the handle, to the legs, to the lid. This one is slightly smaller than the first one but with an airtight type wood burning heater (not an open fireplace) I generate a bit less ash. Plus the type and quality of wood burned will make a difference in the amount of ash created. It is so much better than just an open bucket as it is designed to help contain the ash dust, which is very helpful inside the house! Great product!

I spent too much time surfing the web and stopping in retail stores looking for an ash bucket. This is the one. If you are looking for one save your time and look no more. I wanted SAFE. Ease of use and generally convenient and a price that did not seem excessive. This little beauty is the only product I found. I am totally happy with it.

In 1980 in Vermont, I bought the "Ash Away," the original product this one copies exactly. My Ash Away somehow got lost in a move many years later, by which time the company that produced it was out of business. The Ash Away perfectly took care of the daily chore of cleaning 6 wood stoves without creating smoke in the house or burns on the hand. I was delighted recently to find this faithful copy of that great original. Besides functioning to perfection, it looks handsome on the hearth. Its rear handle makes it a cinch to dump, as well.

a nice product but so very tiny...and the opening is really small, a bit of a challenge to get hot ashes into.. we ended up using it to hold newspaper to start the fire, but it looks nice by the stove!
