Editorial Reviews

Do you like True Crime? These True Prison Crime stories will awaken your innermost nightmares about prison.
Gary York's real-world examples of prison crime and corruption are now being used in colleges and universities around the country. Recently, Dr. Joycelyn M. Pollock, author of Ethical Dilemmas and Decisions in Criminal Justice, used one of the real-life prison crime stories from Corruption Behind Bars, as a case study in chapter 12 of her book. Dr. Pollock is a professor for the Department of Criminal Justice at Texas State University-San Marcos. She received her PHD from the University of Albany, State University of New York, and her J.D. from the University of Houston. Dr. Pollock has written several other successful books and her book, Ethical Dilemmas and Decisions in Criminal Justice is now in its eighth edition and continues to be one of the leading textbooks in its field. She is also the author of Women, Prison, and Crime.
Former Prison Administrator Michael Pittaro, American Military University stated Corruption Behind Bars is a powerfully written , accurate glimpse into crime and corruption   spanning the entire prison system. An incredibly important topic that continues to occur despite all of our efforts to hire the most qualified, ethical, professional candidates.

Gary is a contributing writer for both and regarding ethics, crisis intervention, crime scene preservation in prisons, corruption in prisons and many other prison topics.

Gary has made presentations at universities, radio stations, NBC news and before members of the Florida Bar to share his experiences and promote awareness of prison crime and corruption.
