- Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2019I bought these about 8 months ago and waited to write a review to ensure longevity. All I can say is that I have literally no cons to report. Other reviews complain about:
- static noises, my audio is extremely clear
- weak joints, mine feel sturdy enough
- pairing problems, it was easy and quick
- bad surround sound, sounded great to me
- low audio definition, I heard everything from footsteps to bullets to explosions in full detail
On top of all of this, they connected easy to my ps4 and windows 10, had great battery life, and show no signs of wear. The microphone is sufficient, but not entirely impressive. Overall, I think they are a perfect gaming headset and even deliver a mean music experience. (The mids can be a little muddy at times). They feel and look premium and I fully recommend them, despite their mixed reviews.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2019After about 100+ hours of gaming on these headphones I feel that Ive got enough time into to write a review stating, properly, the pros and cons of this headset.
First off, the construction seems fairly solid, the set itself is quite heavy which would be expected on headphones that advertise "metal" construction" . People that break these headphones and then write bad reviews I really think have stepped/sat on them and are just trying to cover their backs for a return, although there are some bits and pieces that I think COULD break under normal use, these headphones are quite sturdy. 10/10 for construction.
Sound Quality is pretty good. They aren't studio headphones but with CUE and the EQ in the software, I have no reason to complain. 9/10 sound quality.
Battery life is exceptional. My first few times using these I played for 10-12 hours without needing to charge (after normal lithium break in period) Im on my 5th or 6th cycle. The only issue I can see is replacing the battery after it finally wears out. Battery 10/10
Comfort. This is where these headphones fall short for me. My ears stick out a bit and the pads around the ears could be firmer or 1/2" thicker to accommodate for this. The metal grills inside the headphone push against my outer ear and after 30-45 minutes, it hurts quite a bit. If I put my finger in between the grill and the pad, there is a space in there that Im going to add some extra padding and hopefully this will solve this problem. Comfort 6/10 for me.
Microphone: detachable and flexy as heck, Ive never had any complaints about how it sounds to others on stock output settings. . Theres a mic on/off button on the left side for when you just don't feel like broadcasting if you are on PTT, volume controls and on/off on right side are easy to find and use. And that sultry woman that lives in the headset has a great voice. Charging while wearing/using the headset is easy and just slightly cluttered. The wireless is great as I hate cords and cords are so yesterday! Mic and features 9.5/10
Overall, this really isn't the best headset ive ever owned but it does work and works pretty well. Ive never really noticed a difference between surround and stereo but that just may be me.
Overall score 8.5/10.
Would I buy it again? No. Just because they aren't as comfortable as they could be,
- Reviewed in the United States on June 25, 2019These headphones sound truly amazing. I can't hear anything outside these headphones if I have something playing, and watching movies with these feels very immersive and I can feel and hear all the sounds clearly. The ear cushions are really soft and comfortable to wear even with glasses, but it does hurt my ears after a few hours and that's because I use them all day (yes it lasts me an entire day before I need a charge again). There's also a voice that says stuff like "Mic On" or "Mic Off" when you press the mute toggle on the left ear, and it says "Powering On, Mic Off/On" when you turn it on, which I think is really neat. The mic is removable and you can use this while it's charging, although there is no 3.5 mm port and/or jack for it but that's fine as it's made for PC Gaming anyways and it charges super duper quick and lasts a super long time! It feels excellent and sturdy and I really like the matte finish on the white accents of the headset. Only one "downside" people may think of it, is the fact that if you play audio at a medium to high volume, people around you can hear what you're doing. I don't really mind that, but it might be inconvenient when in public.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2019I REALLY wanted this headset to work. After researching different wireless headsets on the market, I decided the HS70 Wireless was the perfect headset for me. I use my headset for gaming (primarily first person shooters), so I needed something with good audio and I wanted the 7.1 surround, as it can be helpful for hearing the direction of sounds in a competitive game. These looked like a similar build to my old Hyper X Cloud II which I loved and wore until it was falling apart. I love the black and white color option for the HS70, as it matches my setup.
Unfortunately, this headset is not built for smaller heads. I haven't tried that many headsets on in the past, but I've never had a problem with them being too big. So I don't know why Corsair chose to limit how small their headset can be adjusted. If they would have added a couple more notches of adjustability, it would be fine. But as it is, the headset hangs too low on my head to the point where it's uncomfortable. It actually is so big that it ends up hanging down to the corners of my jaw, and the pressure put on my jaw gives me a headache.
I tested the headset for an hour or two, hoping I would get used to the feel of it, but in the end I pulled it off because it was giving me such a headache.
I am a fan of Corsair, and I really wish they would have made this headset slightly more adjustable, because it seemed like a perfect wireless headset in all other regards, and the price point is amazing. I'm a smaller female and I guess my head is just too small. :( If you're a more average-sized individual, you'll likely love this headset. It fit comfortably on my husband, who doesn't have a large head either.

Olivier RousseauReviewed in Canada on August 19, 20185.0 out of 5 stars Amazing wireless headset for the price!
I have been using this headset for more than a month now and it is simply great! The battery life is amazing: i am casually gaming (2 hours per day average) and the battery last for 1-2 weeks for me! It also charge extremely quickly (maybe 2 hours?) The corsair interface is also great to adjust the settings such as the automatic shut down, profiles and surround sound. The white corsair looks gorgeous, it is very comfortable and it is a very well designed headset with great adjustment for the ears. It is very sturdy but flexible at the same time. It also isolated a little bit the exterior noise, but very far from those made for this purpose. The sound is very satisfactory for the price and the microphone is also good. Now "Downsides": I have no problem wearing it for hours, but i sometime like to only wear it only on one ear to hear what is happening around me and it can make some discomfort when in this position for a long time (this is a very personal preference, so it won't matter for some of you). Also if not well positioned, people can hear you breathing in the microphone. Conclusion: I TOTALLY recommend it!
crvoxemsxReviewed in Canada on September 6, 20184.0 out of 5 stars Great value, however not perfect.
First off, do I recommend this product? Yes. But read the review and be aware of it's short comings, in case you wind up expecting something else.
Pros -
1. Great build. There's metal, matte plastic, comfortable cups + head band
2. Removable microphone when it's not needed
3. Great sound and isolation
4. Wireless
5. Very decent mic
6. Physical buttons/controls on headset
7. Very sturdy adjustable mic
Cons -
1. Terrible software/Drivers (I'll explain below)
2. Average battery life. About 8 hours continuous use (without surround)
3. Hissing/noise from right cup (extremely common issue. Interference?)
4. No AUX out for mobile.
5. Poor range.
Lets talk about the cons. The software issue I mentioned, displays incorrect battery life. It'll never give you 100% battery (despite green light). Usually suggests between 85-94%, although I truly believe it's the software, not defective batteries. One time it said 44%, and sat there for 4ish hours, until it finally reached that level, and started dropping. Also, the software is annoying to display your battery life. You have to open the software, go to settings, click on your headset, and it'll tell you. It feels a bit cumbersome to keep doing. I wish this was integrated better. Also takes a solid 30 seconds to connect. So turning it off to go do something can be a bit frustrating when you're still sitting in a game lobby, and you're waiting for it to connect.
Software out of the way, the battery life is pretty average (a con in my opinion). If you do a marathon gaming session for one day, you'll definitely need to plug it in at the end of it. 2-3 days would be nice, but it's fine, the wireless factor makes up for it.
The range is also pretty poor. It's probably 20% worse than my regular bluetooth headphones, constantly disconnecting when I go downstairs, and sometimes just a room over.
There's also a constant hissing in the right cup. I say it's a con and not a defect because it seems nearly everyone gets this. I feel like it's interference due to the fact the volume changes of it when moving your head around. Also increases when you physically touch the mic (however removing the mic doesn't change anything).
And last, it just kind of sucks there isn't an aux out. The fact I can remove the mic makes me really want to be able to plug this into my phone when I'm out, so I can use them as headphones, since they truly do look great.
lets talks about the pros - It's got beautiful design, feels incredibly sturdy, and when it comes down to it, it's primary functions are all amazing (sound, mic, being wireless). The controls on the headset itself are easy to use, and nothing's in a weird place. Day 1, you'll be able to adjust volume, muting without thought. I also love that the mic is removable. It's a nice feature you don't see too often. I also have a desktop mic with (obviously) much better quality. So at times when I want to use that, I don't need to have this thing sitting in front of my face all the time. The mic itself is great, it basically morphs into any position you want it to (honestly the best of all headsets I've had).
Summary - This headset offers incredible value. It looks great, feels great, sounds great, and lets you not worry about cables. Yes, the software is extremely tedious, battery is barely 'okay', and the range can be a bit frustrating, but what you get is more than what you paid for, and for this I definitely recommend this headset.

ALazyMemeReviewed in Australia on August 5, 20191.0 out of 5 stars Horrible
Uncomfortable and sounded horrible. They aren't even worth the $90aud I paid for them. Get the hyperx cloud flights, it's worth the extra money.
TReviewed in Canada on October 19, 20194.0 out of 5 stars Solid Construction + Comfy for glasses!
Out of the box they feel heavier and well put together. Mic is attached on a small goose neck and is easily adjusted. mic does not fold up like some headsets but can be unplugged and removed when not in use (there is even a small rubbery plug to protect the jack when mic is removed). Sound quality is very good. Overall first impressions are great. They are not uncomfortable with my glasses either, which is a big plus!
JalmuReviewed in Canada on October 6, 20194.0 out of 5 stars Almost Perfect
Its a little snug on the ears which makes them a little uncomfortable to wear but other then that they are great!
*Edit* After almost a year of owning it and using it, the ear pieces started falling apart and flaking into my ears.. :(
Had to replace them quickly.
