Taking off a star because I honestly hate the design. The black specs make me think i smudged something on it. It also looks like tribal... is this 2005?
UPDATE: I went into my logitech gaming software's section for surface tuning. I tested it out on cloth, hard surface, and default. Cloth is where I had these stuttering problems, hard surface doesn't really even work, and default seemingly fixed it for the most part. changed my review for now and hopefully anyone else with the same problem can troubleshoot better.
On a side note. Maybe your cat will like it. Mine likes to sleep on it for some reason.
Update: The smell eventually faded. I've been using it for 6 months now and it's still working great.
Large vs Small
I once used a very large mouse pad that covered half my desktop and had my monitors and other things on top of it. Because of the non-solid nature of the pad, it was a pain and I realized just getting a small mouse pad was better. This is a very small pad but that is all you need. I have a 34 inch monitor and a 30 inch monitor and the mouse pad's size is more then enough to get the pointer across two monitor lengths.
This is sooo smooth. Smoothest one I've seen so far. Your mouse will just glide across like ice skates.
Movement pixel to pixel
I still haven't found a mouse pad in which you can move pixel to pixel. Maybe that's a pipe dream. This pad doesn't allow you to do this where you can move one dot, one pixel to the left. You can do it but it takes several tries. But I haven't yet found one mouse pad that can do this yet.
Get this if you want need a smooth mouse pad. You won't regret it. I give you my word.

I think this mouse mat looks absolutely stunning in person and my MX Master mouse feels amazing when paired with it. The Corsair K55 keyboard also looks great with this mouse mat, as shown in the photo. It appears to be of good quality and does not feel like it could tear or break in any way.
It is very large and would look silly on smaller desks, so definitely measure out the desk and decide whether it would suit your desk surface. I have the Ikea Linnmon 150cm desk which is quite plain so this adds a nice bit of contrast to the surface.
I highly recommend this mouse mat to anyone who is considering it. Yes, the price is high, but now I can see why, as the quality of the material and the overall design is outstanding. Would definitely buy again.
The pad is large enough to easily fit a full sized keyboard on and still give you ample space to use your mouse. At 400 DPI a mouse can still perform a 180 turn with room to spare (in-game sensitivity dependant) if on default game sensitivity.
The pad has a grey and black texture across it so this might not suit all setups.
Base has a rubber coating and is secure on the surface so it doesn't move around.
When unpackaged it will take a day or so to lay flat as it has been rolled up but if you place some books on it that will soon flatten it out.
Great pad at a decent price.
Yes it is splash proof "depending on the liquid"
Now does it fray, well I have a habit of leaning my arm off the slide of the mouse pad on the right corner so my whole arm hangs off the side of the desk if you can picture it and have been playing "Ghost Recon Breakpoint" none stop and at the moment there isn't any sign of it even starting to wear but of course I will update the review if it does.
The "But" part is that I got the brownish colour mat as so many bad reviewers seems to have received.
This seems to be a recurring problem. Now it didn't bother me at all but I can see why its bothers others hence the bad reviews but it doesn't take away from how good the mat is.
Its a shame they cant get this part right or even if they advertised the brown one to let people know there are 2 versions.
At this pointy it seems to be pot luck as to the one you get.
Good mouse pad & good luck as to the colour you get.
I bought this mousepad to use it on the go since the MM1000 hard mousepad is not very portable and I needed something flexible and durable. The mousepad has a very fine texture on the top side, perfect for precise mouse motion as it helps laser or optical sensor better register the surface. Also, it is better for the longevity of the mouse, meaning the mouse is not being used on a hard surface which erodes plastic with time. It is also nice for your wrist to rest on something soft.
The underside of the mat is made out of textured rubber and grips very well to any surface, but due to the size, the mat is not going anywhere regardless.
The stitching is very important if you want your mat to last longer since the most annoying thing about soft mats is the fact that they can fray easily and that can ruin the mat after some time.
Overall, I love this mat, usually, it is overpriced for what it is but I got it on a deal and it is well worth the money.
I think is perfectly plausible that some dye batches are grey and others are this brown colour, so luck of the draw perhaps. As disappointed as I am, I still think I’ll keep it as it feels good quality (very smooth surface and the anti fray edge stitching is way better than cheap mats). I also like the overall graphic design and my reason for purchase was to breakup my very black desk setup (which I guess this still does). But yeah, its so very disappointing that it’s brown and not grey.
Imagine my surprise when the mouse at arrived and it’s not black! We held the mat out in natural light, its a light brown - maybe gold, perhaps brass? But black it most certainly isn’t!
I applied to a replacement from Amazon, who dutifully dispatched the same day. So Sunday we eagerly opened the second mould pad and.... yep it’s “gold’ as well!!
Performance wise its great - top slidey surface, PERFECT for FPS my son loves playing. Top marks for gaming and comfort..Its just...its.... not BLACK. ANd who wants a golden brown mouse pad?!
Ive sent the photo to Corsair will update this review if they reply...
If you do prefer the fabric mouse mat, you will not be disappointed here. Here you get a very solid, premium feeling mouse mat which a nice overall feel while using. It doesn't pick up marks easy, i have been able to clean Thermal Paste AND Liquid metal out relatively easily which i think says something for the overall quality of the material corsair have used here. And on top of that it is completely washing machine friendly. So if you do spill Soda or Juice on it you can just fire it in the machine and hang it to dry (This might take a while).
However it seems there is only one style available and that would be with a yellow band across the bottom, i would like to see maybe no band, grey band or red band (just to name a few) as options so people can fit it better into their computer/peripherals theme.
On a postive note, this is a smoother surface compared to the QcK Mass I have and noticeable glides a little bit faster while keeping the same control so you are able to stop at the right moment. Honestly, both these pads would feel the same if I was blindfolder in regards to the surface so just get the one that looks best for you. Though Id get the MM300 because of that and of its stiched edges and thats your mouse pad set and done.
