The spacebar is textured, and I find it annoying and obnoxious. I dont need a textured spacebar, It's the gigantic long one at the bottom of my keyboard. What inbred halfwit has trouble finding the spacebar?
Ok now onto my major issue. this absolute dumpsterfire of a software package Corsair calls iCUE. Yea you're not iCuete biting off Apple's trademark. You see what you've done Corsair?! You've got me defending Apple! AND I HATE APPLE! Software package. Right. Absolutely abysmal. I think it gave me cancer. The best part: Once I finally got the stupid thing to set the color I wanted (just a solid red) I learned that when my computer goes to lock screen and sleeps, the keyboard reverts to its default and I get spiral rainbow puke to illuminate my room while i try to sleep. This cannot be changed and is by design according to Corsair.
I guess they hired the cretin who couldn't find the spacebar to develop the software.
Its not as "clicky" as most mechanical keyboards. The space bar has a nice textured feel.
It came with
-MOBA/FPS Keycaps (also has the same texture feeling as the spacebar)
I use the WADS keycaps, to play Overwatch but works great for any FPS game. EVERY OTHER KEYBOARD before I bought this one the letters on the keys would wear off, sometimes within days, especially the WADS. I'll be keeping an eye on these and update with my findings.
Pros: Looks GREAT!
The keys feel great, they're quiet too.
Access to a USB port, located on the top of the keyboard.
Looks awesome! (I have the red, to match my computer, speakers and headphones)
The keyboard has an USB passthrough so you can hook up a mouse, wireless mouse receiver or maybe like phone charger. I use it to charge my phone.
Cons: the mat finish shows finger prints.. not enough to remove a star though.
no buttons for volume (other than the function buttons on the F keys) but having a standalone volume button would of been nice.
the cord is pretty thick. Its as thick as a cord to a industrial drill.
Low and behold I figure why not purchase a similar, slightly cheaper version of what I love at home for work? I didn't need all the fancy lighting effects for work so the Corsair Strafe cherry red with Red backlit was perfect. Feels the same as the K70 but more for work. Not loud either. I love this keyboard and highly recommend it even for typing. It has a very solid build quality although not exactly as such as my home K70 Rapidfire. That one is built out of aluminum while this is definitely full plastic. It still has some weight to it though and feels sturdy.
My number one complaint with the keyboard however is the lack of wrist pad. It clearly has the connections for it if you look underneath. I thought, OK, I'll bring in the wrist pad from my Rapidfire at home. NOPE. Doesn't even fit or connect at all. Why? Doesn't make sense. Good luck trying to find it separately as well.
Lastly, Amazon shipping was a joke when it came to this aside from the speed at which it came. I ordered it and within a day gap, it arrived. However my first shipment was the wrong one. Oddly enough, it was left at my doorstep without an Amazon box. Just the full product, shown completely exposed and god for bit it rained that day, it would of been wrecked because the box has no protection for liquids.
So I returned this incorrect model that I ordered the next day and get this particular one that includes the numerical keys on the right, it arrives super quick again. Only this time, I get a straight up cardboard box with no Amazon logo or product box. It was just the keyboard sitting in a cardboard. I was like, whaaaaaat the hell are they doing??
Regardless, it was the product I ordered and looked perfect so I wasn't going to go through the return process again just for an official "Corsair" product package that I would end up recycling anyway.
So my 1 star from a perfect has to do with lack of wrist pad and Amazon's weird way of handling the packaging of the product.
Also, the fact that they listed this keyboard as "quiet" is a bit of a stretch but I like a chunky mechanical keyboard. If you, however, are looking for a quiet one, look elsewhere.

Dislike: very easy to accidentally press a key while typing, I was not used to mechanical keyboards so sometimes I accidentally press the windows key when typing because the keys are taller. only one color, the keyboard is red, is the only color, I knew it before purchasing it and it's ok but probably it would've been better if the light was white (personal preference)
works as expected and looks cool on my desk
- They keys are not completely silent but it seems to be the perfect compromise. They are just loud enough where you can audibly hear that you have fully pressed the key, but it is not so loud that it would become annoying to me or anyone sitting near me. The key strokes are very smooth and consistent. Im still getting used to the board, so i am quite loud and frequently bottom out the keys while typing, which is what makes the click sound, but if one got comfortable enough with the board, you would not need to bottom out the keys at all because they are actuated about halfway through the stroke, thus making it silent.
- The colors are amazing and very vivid and there are endless combinations of colors and effects that can be displayed through the ICUE software. You can even have the board shift colors, from white, to orange, to red as a certain component of the computer heats up (GPU for example). The keyboard pattern can be linked to other corsair RGB products, like fans, mouse, and mouse pads.
- The software is excellent for the most part, but it does seem to have some bugs associated with it. Sometimes when choosing a different color profile, the software simply wont change the pattern at all, or it will change, but revert back to the previously selected pattern upon exiting the software or minimizing it. I havent yet figured out how to save profiles on the keyboard memory. There also is no apparent way of cycling through profiles without having to open up the software on the screen. All you can do is change the brightness or turn the lights off completely using the dedicated button on the keyboard.
- The dedicated media buttons are amazing and extremely handy, especially the volume scroll wheel.
All in all, this is an amazing product and physically, it is absolute perfection. The only minor downside is the difficulty sometimes with the ICUE software, thats why i gave 4 stars. This is by far the best performing keyboard i have ever used, but is also the most expensive one i have ever purchased, so i have nothing i can really compare it to. I am not a pro gamer or an expert by any means but i am truly blown away by this Corsair product and look forward to buying from them again in the future.
I legit feel I could throw this keyboard at the wall everyday for 3 years and the wall would see more damage than the keyboard would. If you can afford to buy a high end keyboard do it. Its just amazing to type on and into game on. Buy it on sale though!
my only issue was it came in such a bad packaging for a 12k item with only plastic wrapped around box torned from sides n 7-8 keycaps were out of the keyboard .got really frustated wd that.
other than that great keyboard
-Cherry MX Red Switches are both quiet but loud enough to give you a good feeling.
-The spacebar has a nice texture cover on it to make it more grippy
-The leds are bright and a great color (red)
-Function keys are nice and work well.
-Corsairs program works well enough, a little hard to get the hang of though.
Cons- Not RGB (I knew this when buying)
-Really heavy. Not that it matters that much really, i just wouldn't take this on the go anywhere, that's for sure.
All in all, an amazing keyboard that feels smooth and quick to type on.
Pros: Iluminación y programación de la iluminación hacen bastante vistoso el teclado. Las teclas son en su mayoría satisfactorias de presionar.
Contras: el teclado es US, así también la tecla "enter" está horizontal en vez de su versión más grande.
I like the design and combinaison of red/black, it's sober. And of course you can toggle off the red lights.
It also have an usb port on the keyboard, so you can plug in usb device from the keyboard instead of the case, useless for this with short cords.
This is my second mechanical keyboard and a first time at using Cherry MX Reds (used MX Blues before) and I gotta say I prefer the Reds much more due to the fact that it's much quieter as long as you don't bottom-out the keys and I just didn't like the "clicks" of the Blues.
I wasn't willing to pay the price premium for RGB as I felt it was a waste anyway since I doubt I'll be looking at the lights over my monitor screen.
The red LEDs are more than enough for my eye-candy cravings and the Corsair software does a decent job of managing it.
This thing such a joy to type and play games on, I highly recommend this to anyone who's buying a mechanical keyboard for the first time or is just looking for a quality keyboard.
Funciona con iCUE el cual está muy completo y a pesar de solo tener 1 color se pueden crear muchas personalizaciones y bajar perfiles de internet.
Fanboy de Corsair por la calidad que me han demostrado tener.
The feel of the keys when typing is amazing, allows me to type up to 120wpm
I used this mainly for osu!, and after around 20 million keypresses the K key started not working (I would need to bottom out and then some for it to register). Even one of the keycaps started to chip due to my tapping.
