I'm a product junkie, so I rarely write reviews for skin care products because their effectiveness and wow factor is so subjective -- how often and consistently a person uses it, their skin type, if they're hydrated from within, what products they're pairing together, etc. But this product? It warrants a review.

Someone told me my skin was glowing, and I knew it was this product. I've used combinations of the same products for several months. The difference is when I use this vs. when I don't. First, I only use it in the morning. My routing is to cleanse, use Paula's Choice Advanced Replenishing Toner (which is mild so I can use it daily), Green Tangerine Vita-C, and then this product as the first layer of my moisturizer, followed by a heavier cream moisturizer followed by sunscreen.

Let me say why I think it works because like I said, so much boils down to the person and their skin type. I do not like water and I struggle with hydration. Therefore my skin is drier than it should be even though I don't break out. It's my skin care routine that keeps breakouts at bay. Ideally, water and hydration from the inside would do that, but I don't have enough moisture within to purge the impurities. Whenever I travel and miss a day of skin care, I can guarantee a blemish or two. Having said that, I work at hydrating b ut it'll always be a struggle. This product gives me a skincare finish as if I hydrated. When combined with my other heavier moisturizer and my sunscreen, I glow. I thought I did and it was confirmed by other people. A week after the lady told me my skin was glowing, I went to my doctor for a check up and she said the same thing. Actually said, "I'm stunned by how beautiful your skin looks." The next night I was FaceTiming with my very blunt, loving grandma. She said, "Your skin looks so bright!"

The other great thing that I'm going to say that I hate when others say it, but in this case it's 1000% true: A little goes a long way. I almost hate the texture. It's slimy, not creamy. But that's what makes it works so I live with it. It's like picking up thin egg whites. So know that it's slimy. But that slim is what allows it to spread thinly and cover completely with little product. I bought this 2 months ago and I've barely skimmed the surface. It'll last another 3-4 months, easily. Again, I use it once a day; at night after I double cleanse and use Paula's Choice again, I apply prescription-strength retinol.

Great product. I highly recommend it.

Im pregnant so my face is much dryer than usual, and I live in Arizona... THIS WORKS! I didn't know if it would truly be moisturizing because its so thin and sticky seeming but it moisturizes better than most creams. I even use oil all over my face for years and I was still so dry but this SOFTENED my face! I don't know how to describe it...but I ordered the oatmeal cream from sephora, a bunch of paulas choice products, hemp oil, honest beauty oil, cerave and ponds. The only thing that came close to moisturizing my face as well as this product was the ponds but that smells like baby powder or a super old woman... so I can't handle it. this has NO SMELL and the dermatologist guy on youtube assured us that no snails are harmed in the process of collecting this mucin. So I love it!!! I am so happy I tried it instead of thinking it would be some gimmick for really young people who already have good flawless skin.

I think I purchased this product maybe almost 5mo ago and I’m still on it! Granted, I have been using another moisturizer in my routine as well, so I don’t use this as often as someone who only uses the one product. However, I’ll gradually be switching over to just using this once I run out of my other (more costly) Kiehl’s product. This product was said to be very popular and highly recommended to me by friends who also knew of its reputation, or used it themselves. When I first bought the product, I didn’t think I’d like it because the sliminess felt weird to me, so I said to myself, I don’t think I’ll purchase this again. 5mo in, I’ve changed my mind. Now, I’m so used to this product, you get a lot of product for your money (IMO) and it actually hydrates my skin all day! I don’t have to replenish halfway through the day like I typically did with past products (e.g. Clinique mositure surge, Neutrogena Hydro Boost moisturizing gel). My face feels so soft and smooth, and there’s no more seeing flakiness on my face when I use this product. I can see why its reputation preceded it, and I look forwarding to purchasing again in the future.

I started with using the Snail Mucin serum with the summer friday cloud moisturizer but this was a bit cheaper so I thought i would try this one instead. I loved the serum and it makes my skin so clear so i wanted to try this in combo with it. The moisturizer is very lightweight because it’s so thin in texture, it almost feels like a slightly thicker version of the serum. It’s definitely moisturizing if you put a good amount on but if you have super dry skin, I wouldn’t recommend this product. I have combo skin, my nose and around my mouth is prone to dry patches and this is nice if i put quite a bit on but if you dont put enough, your skin will be a little tight and feel dry. It doesn’t leave your skin oily, though, which i love

Not only is it bigger then my previous moisturizer (nuteragena hydro boost) it feel much better on my dry skin and when I first put it on I put about two fingers because usually moisturizers absorb before I can even run it on my face, not this one, it glides and covers my full face before absorbing. Id say a pea drop amount is all you really need. Still need to finish it then I’ll update my review and see if it changes anything. DIDNT burn my skin either ( I have sensitive skin and eczema)

For background: I have very sensitive and dry skin that eventually turned oily throughout the day, no matter what. Any product with a bunch of fragrances will make my skin burn or get irritated. If I used too much of product, my skin would get oily, but if I used too little, my skin would flake. What made matters worse was that I was getting off of tretinoin for acne. My skin texture was SO BAD for WEEKS after stopping tret. I've tried products you can buy in most brick and mortar stores, but it didn't repair my skin. I love it because I have never in my life come across a face cream that actually dries in, all be it a few hours down the line and my face then feels like silk once it has dried in. I read a review that someone got four months out of one pot. I didn’t even get one month. I must be using far too much and unlike me she is a very young person. I’m in my middle 70s and personally I cant see any difference after almost one month but, I’m going to persevere and try another pot then I will really make up my mind if I’m going to go on using it. Not a bad moisturiser but if you use it as your main moisturiser it will dry you out. Reason? It doesn't have an occlusive ingredient. It feels lovely for a few minutes after applying it, but it quickly evaporates all the moisture out of your skin for the aforementioned reason. And you're left with dry, prone to irritation skin. In order to lock the benefits of this product in your skin you will need to follow it up almost immediately with a moisturiser that contains an occlusive ingredient or with vaseline (if you don't mind looking like an oily blob).

With irritable eczema top to toe, I’ve been struggling with my face quite badly. I would moisturise 4-8 times a day and my skin still drys out within minutes. A friend suggested I give this cream a go and I’m so thankful that I did.

After my usual steps (oil cleanser, water cleanser, toner) I used this before I put on my thick eczema cream (zerobase), its weird as hell, I won’t lie as it’s kinda gel like sticky goo which looks like snail slime I have to admit. Using a good amount I work it between my fingers and then press it into my face and it sinks in immediately with no sticky residue. After a minute my skin is soft and calm. Woke up in the morning and my skin was still soft and calm.

This works.

It’s literally repairing my dry and damage skin better than a steroid cream. Yes. Better than a steroid cream.

So now I’m buying this in bulk.

I was a bit sceptical of this product when I first heard of it but thought why not give it a go.
I'm really impressed! It's done great things for my skin, brilliant at reducing redness. Got an angry looking little spot coming up? Use this stuff and now you don't!
I've had more compliments on the way my skin looks after using this than I think I've ever had before.
It is very goopy and a bit stringy but it's got snail slime in it so kinda what I expected. It rubs in nicely and leaves my skin feeling really good.
I've got pretty sensitive skin that is irrated by even some of the stuff made for sensitive skin, but this doesn't bother my skin at all.
I'll definitely be buying more of this in the future.
