Use distilled water to help keep the humidifier chamber clean and mineral deposit free. Tap water should not be used as it will leave hard white mineral deposits in the chamber as the water evaporates, or it may lead to mold growth. Cases of lung disease have been connected to using contaminated well water in a CPAP humidifier.
What Is Distilled Water?
Distilled water is created through the process of distillation. Basically, in the process of distillation, the pure H2O is boiled out of its contaminants. So, many of the contaminants found in water are inorganic minerals, metals etc. Those types of contaminants have very high melting points and even higher boiling points (way higher than the boiling point of water at 212 degrees F). So, as the water (with its contaminants) is boiled, the pure water turns into steam and is captured and cooled and thus becomes distilled water. The junk left behind is all of the contaminants.

24 count of 20fl oz bottles = 480fl oz total = 3.75 gallons total. So, that's $50 for LESS THAN 4 gallons of water. They are essentially charging 5x the amount this water is worth. I can buy 5 gallons of distilled water locally for under $10. I do not recommend buying this water, as it is grossly overpriced.
In addition to their outlandish pricing, they held no accountability and gave me a short answer when I asked for a refund. I asked for additional details and answers, and they never responded. I do not recommend purchasing water from them.
After this experience, I worry that CPAP users may fall victim to the representation of this product as well. "CPAP Water" is just a glamorized way of saying "distilled water". Please don't think this water is any different than what you can get at Walmart for a fraction of the price.
It actually ended up being very convenient because instead of having a big have a gallon jug that I had to keep lifting up to refill my CPAP water, I just kept one of these bottles next to the CPAP machine and when it was empty I recycled it and put another bottle next to the machine. I've now use all of them and I had no issue that I can think of that would make this any different than a gallon except for price.
