This is a standard propane fuel cylinder, compatible with most small portable torch heads. I am using these cylinders with a BernzOmatic TS8000, which accepts both Propane and Propylene Fuel Cylinders. Does not burn as hot as Propylene, but is not as expensive either. This propane cylinder normally costs $2.50-$3.50 each at local retail stores. They have small fill ports, separate from the main connector on the top of the cylinder. I've never found anyone who could/would refill them though. Hence the 4 stars. It's a shame that you have to dispose/recycle these when they are empty.

Purchased from Amazon vendor "TechnologyLK", for some reason expecting a bulk pack of cylinders. Only received one cylinder and it seemed to take quite a while to arrive. Paid $19.75 after shipping. Looked at their listing again and have no idea why I thought I was receiving multiple cylinders, but certainly NOT worth paying $19.75 after shipping for one cylinder if you have the option to purchase them locally. I assume shipping was high because the cylinder is explosive? The cylinder I received from "TechnologyLK" is IDENTICAL to the ones I purchase locally for $2.50-$3.00 each. I'll continue to purchase from Lo**'s or Ho** De*** in the future.

Yes, these are under $3 at the big box hardware stores. But guess what... hazmat shipping is insanely expensive, and if you live in a remote corner of Montana and this is cheaper than driving your pickup truck 40 miles to get a new cylinder, then this is for you. If you live next door to a hardware store, maybe not.

Don't leave a negative review because of the price. If you have a more economical alternative, please seek it.

Also, I've been using these for decades. They last forever, not a single bad thing to say.

What's not to love? I am a normal homeowner, I do some of the work around the house and if it gets over my head (usually after I have attempted it), I call a pro. The is the second of these cylinders that I have purchased. The first one, that just ran out of propane, I purchased 37 years ago! Guess they do last a long time, never rust, and never let the propane out. Wonder what the price will be in 2052?

If you are purchasing this to go with a Searzall DON"T bother. It states right on the instructions that this cylinder should not be used with the Searzall. Once you purchase it, it's not eligible for return. So disappointed.

Scorches weeds well.Lightweight.Self-igniter is great & not difficult to operate.Especially effective to kill weeds in rock flowerbeds & xeroscapes.Just don't stand downwind or you'll smell like a brush fire from smoke.

I purchased this for a small blow torch. It has successfully fueled the blow torch. I'm not sure what else to say.

Why would anyone buy this for $20? It's not refillable, too expensive, and you have to order it. The picture I've provided of the Coleman propane tank can be filled from a 20 lb BBQ tank if you purchase a $10 adapter. Then you'll save 400% on buying propane. They're available everywhere including grocery stores and they cost about $4.00. That's right four dollars! They contain the same amount of propane and they're more stable when standing up (not so tall).
