The locking mechanism was faulty. Part of the problem is that during shipping all of the locking keys were bent. The manufacturer does not properly prepare the product for shipping. Even though the shipping was a problem, the locking key system is junk. The keys are easily bent. Even with good alignment, a strong tug or a butter knife could pry the door and break the keying system. The drawer glides are weak and move left to right. The black plastic glides were popped out after shipment. Removing and reinserting the drawers into the glides is a problem and one of the drawers fit so poorly that the drawer pops out of the glide when pushing the drawer back into the unit. Don't let the "USA" sticker fool you that this is a quality piece. I cannot return because I was give 2 weeks to pack up my gear and put it in storage before another lay off because of the pandemic. I am so disappointed in this purchase. Actually, disappointment is an understatement. I will go in on Monday and try to hack it so it will roll into storage. The wheels are crap too. I will probably have to hack some steel bar locking system. The top unit I bought with it is just passable but at least the drawers lock without having to disassemble and tweak the locking system.

Gives Craftsman a bad name. Drawers stick and don’t open and close half the time and don’t open and close easily. Key doesn’t work.

Opened the box and removed the tool box. Discovered that the drawer slides on one side of the box were not attached to the box. Seems like the Craftsman quality has gone away.

Going to have to take all the drawers out to adjust locking shaft. Some drawers lock part of time. Top drawer won't lock at all. On review of others in price range I would still say it's best in price range.

Good for the home use. Don't set your expectations too high in this tool cabinet and drawer combo. Disappointed that locks don't work immediately out of the box. Will have to remove drawers and adjust so that locking mechanism s line up better. But since this is for home use I guess I'll just say forget it and leave it as is.

Didn't want to spend to much money on a tool chest and cabinet combo so this is an acceptable option.

It has a sticker on the front that says, "Proudly made by American Craftsman" or something to that effect.

Nobody would be proud to say they had any part in making this. Some bean-counter found a way to make every single piece of it as cheap as possible.

I have older Craftsman chests. The sheet metal on all of them is 1-1/2 to 2 x thicker than this. This one doesn't even come with real nuts to secure the wheel.

The drawers boast "50 lb load capacity" as if that's something special. I don't think you could find cheaper drawer slides no matter how hard your tried. Additionally, I doubt you could find drawer slides with a lower load rating unless you were looking at slides for jewelry boxes.

The top bows in with any weight at all on it. You'll have to put a piece of plywood or something on it if you want a flat top.

The thing is overall junk and I'm really sorry I bought it. I really wanted another Seville Classics (wonderful little cabinet) but the price double immediately after I received my first one so I passed.

It's really sad what has happened to this brand but I'm done with Craftsman. Everything I've purchased from them in the past 20 years has been a huge disappointment and not worth the money. I ended up needing to replace the items with things that actually had at least minimal quality built in.

I wouldn't buy this, nor any other Craftsman product again. They couldn't make it lower quality if they tried.

Just arrived with dents in it and the wheels on it are hard to move they get stuck as you’re pushing them. The material is very thin and flimsy not at all what I was expecting from a craftsman product. I will be using it as a storage cabinet in my salon but would not buy another one! The Styrofoam surrounding the cabinet went down into the grooves of the cabinet and make it very hard to get out. And because it’s black you can see the white Styrofoam.
