And loved Crash more than Cole . This one will be read again and again !! Kudos to Nicole James . This is a must read !!!!
Once she is under the protection of Crash, nothing happens. Page after page of nothing, even nothing between the sheets. It as a good plot, I still like the characters from Outlaw, but I don't want to read about their daily lives. I want action with a few breathers on between. Seriously for 70% of the book! it's like the bad guy doesn't exist. If you didn't want to bring him up until later, at least have a MC war with Big Ed, but he wasn't mentioned until the last part of the book either.
Another issue is the fact she's really rich, this is brought up as a stumbling block because Crash is not, but it's never really resolved. There is an HEA, but it's an HEA that ignores that particular stumbling block. The last 30% of the book was great. It saved this from a 2 star rating. Book one was too much, book 2 was too little, I'm hoping book 3 will be just right.
Only things that I found a little off...needs some editing. Not typos, but there are several sections that didn't need to be included. For example, the cat. Really had no point in the story.
And the whole Artie thing. Other than just a side story about MC life, it served no purpose.
Following the big show down, (trying not to spoil) we never heard more about a police investigation or any follow up. And did Shannon's mom and sister, how did they handle the duo? No mention.
Lastly, the ending also didn't quit fit. With so much detail and plot line to get there, it just sort of stopped.
Shannon is on the run from her father's creepy and older business acquaint. She calls on Cole to help her. When Crash first sees her, he sees her as a rich princess and a challenge. Of course he has to rise to the challenge. While these two are falling in love and fighting each other at ever turn, her father's business associate is hot on there trail. I highly recommend reading this book.
