CRC food grade silicone is a NSF rated H1, multi-purpose silicone spray for food processing and handling applications. It forms a colorless, odorless, non-staining film that lubricates and protects in most metal to non-metal applications. Food Grade Silicone eliminates binding and sticking, while protecting most surfaces. In addition it may be used as a release agent for many applications. Recommended to lubricate food processing and handling equipment, chutes, guides, rails, conveyors, bottling machinery, slicers, ovens, freezers, knives and saws. Other applications include lubricating coin mechanisms, linkages, locks, motor bearings, parking meters, projectors, pulleys, timers, rubber seals, tools, vending machines and ceramic insulators. Also recommended for metal-to-nonmetal and plastic-to-plastic lubrication applications.

This lubricant has petroleum distillates in it, and its not for Treadmills. I am sure its a very good lubricant for its purpose.
SELLER - please put something in the description so others dont make this same mistake. I'm going go give this a lower rating, to call attention to this, until you do. If you modify the description, I will amend my rating, because this appears to be a good product.

I needed food-grade silicone spray for a meat grinder I received, and so I ordered this. I really appreciate the attached spray nozzle that folds down. So convenient, and I will never lose the straw!

I was surprised by the strong petroleum smell when I sprayed this. It’s similar in smell to naphtha, which seems odd for a product whose remnants will come into contact with food.

One thing I have to warn you about is to spray this outside or above a raw concrete floor, or at least put some newspaper down in the area where you will be spraying. I used this in my kitchen, holding the meat grinder parts in one hand and spraying them with the other, and I had no awareness that a fine mist of silicone was coating the floor and making it dangerously slippery. I nearly fell afterwards when walking across my floor, and even days later, after washing it a couple of times, it’s still slippery. You have been warned.

I purchased this product three months ago to help my refrigerator drawers glide (they were very hard to open). In my original review, I noted that this stuff is amazing and I gave it 5 stars. The drawers are still gliding just like they did 3 months ago. Since then, I have used this lubricant on a whole host of things such as zippers (on coats and boots), coffee machine plunger that was difficult to get the carafe in, hinges, dishwasher slides, door latches and other applications that I have already forgotten about. If you have a sticking problem with any metal and/or plastic parts, this silicone spray is definitely the fix. I would like to give it more than 5 stars, but you know what I mean. Highly recommended as it is food grade and it dries almost immediately. This is simply a GREAT product!

This CRC food grade silicone is a good product that I have used for many years in commercial kitchen equipment and appliance service as well as general maintenance applications. It works well for things like coating door gaskets and seals on walk-in coolers and cold line refrigerators to prevent sticking and binding. It is rated H1, so is NSF approved as safe for incidental contact with food. This spray contains Hexane, so does initially have some odor and the spray mist is also extremely flammable, so you do need to be careful when applying it in high heat areas like boiler rooms or around gas fired kitchen equipment and/or pilots, at least until the vapors fully dissipate. Overall, I find it to be a good, reasonably priced light duty lubricant that I use very often.

I use this for many things, but one particular things we find it works very well on is our Oven's set of 2 sliding metal racks. Have you ever noticed after a while that the racks don't slide out very easy anymore, and after a while they jam.
Taking the racks outside in the grass or somewhere, I spray the roller tracks mechanism over and over as I gradually move it along its tracks (sometimes it takes some time and effort to spray them to loosen up, but in the end it's amazing how well it works.
We almost bought a set of new racks, but thankfully after getting the hang of it, this has it working almost like new again. I apply more once every few months.

I use this product at work so I know it works. Used this to free up a cable for defrost vent on my Daughters car. No way to get to the issue without pulling out the entire dash. Attached a small hose to extension, fed it into where the bind was, sprayed it, and after a few seconds, it cable started to move. Sprayed again and it completely freed the cable. Also, this product is great because it leaves no residue. Great stuff!
