I am now into the "oil painting phase" so I decided to try my hand with oil pastels. I was never good with them in the past, but I decided to give it another shot. It turns out that these oil pastels are fun to use in my drawings, and they are not too hard like the cheaper pastels and not too soft like Sennelier. These are just right and they blend together beautifully. I like to use baby oil and q-tips to blend them out, and they go well together with my polychromos, another oil based product. I highly recommend this for anyone into oil pastel paintings.

A vibrant and highly pigmented set of oil pastels for professional artists. I prefer these to Sennelier. Sennelier oil pastels are way too soft. Caran d’Ache are creamy but firmer to use and last so much longer.

Non ho paragoni per questi pastelli a olio, sono gli unici che posseggo e li trovo stupendi: hanno colori meravigliosi e un’ottima consistenza.
Ho comprato la scatola da 48 (approfittando di un’offerta a tempo) perché ho provato quella da 12 e me ne sono letteralmente innamorata.
Il mio grande rammarico è di non aver avuto il coraggio di acquistare direttamente la scatola con tutti i colori, ne vale davvero la pena!
Commento la spedizione: il pacco che mi è arrivato a casa consisteva in una semplice busta di cartoncino (e mi permetto di dire che per i prodotti di belle arti si dovrebbe usare un imballaggio più sicuro…) ma il corriere è stato molto premuroso e me l’ha consegnato in mano; la scatola in ogni caso è fatta benissimo (chi conosce i prodotti Caran D’ache lo sa!) e protegge in maniera adeguata i colori all’interno.
