I have 20 flashlights- this one is my favorite. It does require some thought - each time you half-press the power, the intensity toggles from bright-dim-flash. Took a while to sort that out.
First of all, the adjustable beam works extremely well. Much better than the turning motion on a mag lite. The three modes also work real well however I only use the high mode. I compared this light to a 144 lumen coleman light and the 3 cell D led light from Mag lite. Up until using this light, the mag lite was awesome and I did not expect to find a brighter light in the same price range. This light is noticeably brighter than both, batteries last long. The only improvement I would recommend is the holster is pretty cheap.
The seller crazyconn is awesome to do business with, ships quickly and answers questions quickly. For under $20.00 pick this up and watch in amazement how bright this sucker is.
The flashlight projects a nice even beam of white light (in contrast, the Coleman looks yellowish). I wasn't bothered by the fact the flashlight images the LED in the shape of a keyhole when zoomed-in to its narrowest setting; all you have to do is pull back a little on the zoom and the light pattern becomes circular again albeit a slightly wider pattern with a little less intensity.
I decided to keep the unit after-all since at less than $13.00 including a carry case, and 3 lighting modes, and good brightness (although definitely not 240 lumens) it was a good value.
It's bright, almost blindingly so at close range. Traffic seems to give me a wide berth. The flashing mode works great for my visibility and the full-use mode helps when there's no streetlights, with good lighting directly in front of me and some good spill to the side (when set at the widest setting). I can see how far it reaches when it reflects off distant stop signs. I've only used it for a few half-hour rides, so I can't report on battery life, originals still working.
I bought a Two Fish Flashlite Holder from Amazon but the flashlight fell off. After finding the light in the road, it was banged up really ugly, but disassembling it and reassembling it fixed that and it's working fine - tough little buggah! A better $3 handlebar mount from elsewhere solved that problem. Find one that can swivel side to side.
Someone mentioned this is the same as a Serfas hl-1.1 bike light Serfas CNC Headlight - 1 Watt. Cosmetically it looks the same, but mine has a Cree LED (supposedly 240 lumens) and that one a Luxeon rated at 100 Lumens (and supposedly much longer battery life). So mine is BRIGHTER, and MUCH CHEAPER if you find a cheap mount for it. I haven't had problems that others mentioned about bumps setting off switches or changing the focus setting...

it is OK - mediocre at best quality wise Decent Price for what it is, If i paid double for it I might be upset but can say this is OK for price - BUT nothing specialPublished 7 months ago by Trent A. Watson
Nope. Not right at all. There was nothing in the package to mount the light to a bicycle like the photo clearly shows....just got a plain flashlight. What's this?Published 7 months ago by KMcQ
Didn't even last a month... the Button to turn it On and OFF no longer working...Published 7 months ago by Rick Y
