Innovation and Integrity. To Us, Nothing Matters More.
These convictions come first. Innovation means building products that will continue to lead and define the industry in terms of creativity and utility; it means constantly asking ourselves how we can be better. For the past 25 years, we’ve released industry-shifting innovations and worked with some of the most renowned custom and independent knife designers in the world. What really ties it all together though, is our true guiding light.
We are guided by integrity—this is critical to how we’ve chosen to do business. It means interacting with our customers and each other honestly and directly. It also means building products that perform reliably and a brand that behaves consistently, decade after defining decade. We were born in Oregon, and our knives and tools truly reflect the rugged terrain from which they come. That, to us, makes all the difference.

Driven by Designers
We’re proud to work closely with a deep lineup of world-class designers and we take great pride in carrying out their creative, industry-shifting ideas.
A blade that’s curved up to make brush go down hard. Liong Mah was looking for a survival machete he could use in a variety of situations. So he designed one with a distinctive upswept overall shape. A walnut handle with lanyard holes allows for a forward carry that’s secure—unlike the grass it’ll encounter. With designer Liong Mah designs, form follows function, and for this knife’s namesake from Palm Bay, Florida, the Mah-chete is no exception. The Mah-chete is a survival machete that fits in your backpack, and is ready to tackle even the biggest reeds and grass, and every feature of this tool is focused on helping you conserve energy, for when you need it most. Lanyard holes in the comfortable walnut handle allow for a secure forward carry, while the upswept overall shape maximizes cutting performance, and the hand ground carbon steel blade with hammer-forged finish is crafted to stay sharp. The Mah-chete comes equipped with a reinforced nylon sheath that has a drop down option so you can strap it to your leg. There’s also extra paracord attached to the sheath for survival emergencies. Not that you’ll be in them for long with this blade. If you’re searching for a machete that likes picking on grasses more than three times its size, the Mah-chete has your back in survival situations.Specifications:Blade Length: 12" (304.8 mm)Edge: PlainSteel: 1075 Carbon SteelBlade Finish: Hammer and SatinBlade Thickness: 0.18" (4.57 mm)Grind: ConcaveOpen Length: 17.44" (442.98 mm)Weight: 1.2 lb (0.54 kg)Handle: WalnutStyle: Fixed Blade Knife with SheathSheath Material: Reinforced Nylon w/Polypropylene LinerSheath Weight: 5.0 oz (141.75g)

It's not a particularly heavy machete so recovery time between chops is pretty fast. Compared to the brush demon machete I have this one is much more durable, with no edge rolling or damage even after chopping at thick limbs. The brush demon had some edge rolling and didn't cut as easily through heavier materials/thicker diameter saplings
It is, however, a quality blade that is durable and made to work.
(I was going to give this a 3star, but it is nice.)
