DURABLE BLADE FINISH These Alan Folts designed compact fixed blade knives may be small in size, but that doesn’t take anything away from their functionality - in many cases, it actually increases it. The plain edge knives fit into tight spaces to handle all sorts of tasks, ranging from routine chores to wilderness use. The utility knife is offered in Minimalist Bowie, Tanto, Wharncliffe and drop point blade styles; a Keramin knife with a needle-sharp tip is also available. Blades contain a non-reflective bead blast or durable stonewash finish. TOUGH HANDLE Your knife’s handle is just as important as the blade. We chose glass-reinforced nylon and G10 materials for their reliable strength and durability despite heavy use. Select models feature a polished handle for a sleeker look. All knives are finished with a braided fob you can hold to maintain your grip. 3 FINGER CHOILS To provide you with more comfort and control, the full tang blade knives contain 3 finger choils for gripping. This not only increases your safety during use, it helps you choke up on the handle and make detail cuts with extreme precision. HOLDER INCLUDED A versatile carrying sheath and neck paracord allow for safe and discreet carrying. The glass-reinforced nylon sheath is incredibly durable and molded for a snug, secure fit. LIFETIME WARRANTY The CRKT Lifetime Warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship. If one of our knives ever breaks or fails because of material or manufacturing defects, we’ll repair or replace the knife for as long as you own it. Coverage ends if you sell or otherwise transfer the knife to someone else, or if it’s modified in any way. -CRKT Compact Fixed Blade Knife with Nylon Carrying Sheath -Utility Neck Knife with Plain Edge Blade -Bead Blast or Stonewash Blade Finish -G10 or Glass-Reinforced Nylon Handle -Designed by Alan Folts
From the Manufacturer
Columbia River Knife and Tool's Folts Minimalist is a very small and lightweight knife which gives surprising comfort and control, thanks to the unusual geometry of the full-tang 2.0-inch Wharncliffe blade, aided by three finger choils, hand-contoured green/black Micarta scales, and a braided fob. The Minimalist comes with a custom-fitted Zytel sheath and neck paracord for inverted carry as a neck knife. Because the knife and sheath weigh only 1.6 ounces together, it is a personal carry you will barely notice.

I bought this for my girlfriend for a couple reasons: she didn't have a knife, the deep grooves provide a sure grip, and she likes this color green. The problem that I did not consider, was that this knife was designed with large fingers in mind. While her fingers are smaller, the grooves are too wide apart for the knife to fit comfortably in a fist.
So I took a belt grinder that I purchased a while ago on Amazon (hurray another use for that), and I ground down the lower protrusion so that her lower three fingers could fit. This I think would allow these smaller fixed blades to be more unisex.
Created my own solution, I used the belt loop as a guid and made a replacement loop out of leather. Fits my belt fine now.
As for this blade; I probably spent a couple of years thinking about buying it.
I would ask myself if this knife looked too small, or question how comfortable it would be to hold. But eventually I challenged myself to look at how much of the blade I use on any of my knives.. do you really use much more than the point and about an inch or two of the blade for cutting tasks?
I chose the modified tanto blade style. The concave edge of the blade creates a good angle for a clean cut when opening packages, etc.. and the second "point" on the tip of the blade is very useful for getting a cut started.
The handle is NOT TOO SMALL! I've got average sized adult hands, and this thing just jumps in my hand and sits there!
The pinky finger rests loosely, with the paracord braid for a little purchase. The index, middle, and ring fingers are each cradled by a deep finger swell, while the spine of the blade gives a firm support for the thumb to press down.
I honestly think I have a more secure grip on this than many other knives I own.
The belt sheath is great! The knife has never slipped out, ever... I wear it horizontally, with the handle to my right side, next to the belt buckle. Since I put this on my belt I have all but stopped carrying any of my other EDC blades
This blade has changed everything for me, an instant favorite!
Nice lanyard on the knife itself.
The handle is very nice.
The sheath holds the knife firmly.
A belt clip is included.
The blade sharpens to a sharp edge.
This little knife is a lot of bang for the buck.
One regret, this is a neck knife, it's like your last hope (it's a fine tool) and you may need to or just want to use a ferro rod, the spine is not sharp enough to get any spark. That's the only down side.
I slicked it up with a ceramic chef rod, that really tuned it up.
And I got the ceramic from ?
Amazon of course. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
