I just wanted a heat-resistant solution for fixing a 3" x 4" plastic part that began coming off of the inside of my dryer during loads. Seemed to be covering an unnecessary opening into the exhaust channel that bypassed the lint trap, so I wanted it to stay in place and it wouldn't. Two long pieces of this glass fiber tape have now kept the part in place for a bunch of loads over two months time. The adhesive seems fine, there have been zero edge lifts and nothing is coming off the tape onto the clothing, all things I was concerned might happen. I'm just a home owner, didn't use the tape for some kind of "mission critical" repair, so don't really feel qualified to do more than share my experience and say "I like it" with four stars.

I used this to seal the seams on my wood burning stove stove pipe and used a hi temp silicon over it to make sure it didn't unravel----seems to work fine----my temp sensor says the stove pipe exceeds 450 F at the stove junction---------

Used to attach heat trace to my exposed water pipes. We live in Florida, so we occasionally get cold snaps but most pump installations here are not completely insulated. Hubby rigged up heat trace tape to the exposed pipes. This will not catch fire or melt (for the temps produced by heat trace anyway).

I used this hi-temp tape to re-insulate the frayed broiler element connecting leads of my 40 year old GE wall oven. This was my third replacement of this 2300 watt element and the insulation of the leads had become a bit worn in the removal/replacement process. This tape was just what I needed to give me that comfortable feeling.

Excellent thermal insulator. If you are buying this for its adhesive properties, you are buying the wrong product. It is a thermal insulator, I use it to wrap wiring harnesses that are in high temperature harsh environments to extend wire temperature rating. I also use it occasionally for attaching thermocouple sensors (temporarily) for temperature testing purposes.

We needed this for a wire that we thought we nicked on the back of our oven. We were repairing the knob and my husband was concerned that he tore the wire. Just to be safe, we bought this tape. We haven't had an issue with it at all. So if you are looking to repair a torn wire on the back of your oven, this tape is for you ;)

The only thing keeping it from a 5-star is the adhesive doesn't work above about 250c. Other than that it works really well! I am using it to insulate and adhere the wires for a small heating block that has a target temperature of about 210c and I think this works better Kapton tape.

Heat tape, who needs it? Me for one, and if you are reading this you do too. Not overly sticky, but when stuck to itself it will stay put. I sometimes will start with sticking both sticky sides together to get a strong bond.
