This is a neat little planting tool. I used it this Fall for planting garlic and shallot bulbs. Not big enough for flower bulbs with just a stab, but you could circle it around and make a wider hole I suppose. It does not have a black grip of any kind as depicted; it is a solid piece of aluminum. I may dip the handle in that plastic that makes grips on tool handles, but the lack of one does not affect its use in any way.
