effects of CSS properties in an incremental manner. Plus, he provides the completed tutorial as well, so you can save time
by copying and pasting rather than having to type in every CSS block or property setting. I appreciate that. Thank you
Mr. McFarland for an excellent teaching book. I've been able to make use of the information directly in my work right away.
In addition his explanations of the CSS properties are very clear and helpful. There are a few typos in the book, but that
always happens. Previously I had gotten the CSS 3 book by Gasston but that book is a little more advanced and fast paced
and doesn't have all the tutorials that this one has. Highly recommended.
I had a chance to get along with the third edition. For the last two months, it played a role of a reference book as well as some W3 Schools web sites.
Now, when the 4th edition is out, I didn't even bother to think, should I buy it or not.
Well, I didn't have a chance to scan around all the book, but what I read yesterday was - flexbox and sass implementation. And it was - WOW. The author did a great job yo explain the new layout system as well as the preprocessing syntax and minor details of sass.
All in all, sorry for my english and don't even bother to think, whether you need this book or not. You do!
It covers all of the details of CSS and explains everything in a very clear, precise and easy to understand language. It uses an "in other words" construct, where it explains even more clearly and from another perspective certain concept.
The design of the book is beautiful, which is to expect from a CSS book, perfect margins, justified text, and from the side, you can see borders of different Parts of the book in the form of gray lines.
It is very comprehensive, clear, detailed, well designed and organized. I would highly recommend this book.
