Let me start by saying I started out with the stainless steel nesting set. It was/is beautiful! With a big fat However. The water spots and the film left behind by your food unless you soaked the pans. And no, I did not cook or heat at too high a temperature. It made me nuts. I've repacked the set to gift to my niece. When I saw this set I was thrilled and couldn't be happier. I love the nesting capabilities of the set. Instead of a cabinet I store in a deep drawer next to my stove, they all fit with plenty of room to maneuver. The lid stand is on the counter in easy reach of the stove top. I didn't rate scratch resistance because I'm very careful with themand only use either wood, hard plastic, nylon or silicone utensils. Never any metal. Very happy with my purchase.

Outer coating doesn't fare well in dishwasher, I'd recommend hand washing which is easy. Good non-stick. Do not use metal utensils! It scratches easily. The stacking feature is nice but you have to really align the pans perfectly.
