I installed mine last weekend on my 2010 Liberty. The holes lined up perfect but I swore up and down Curt had sent me bolts that were way too large. I cried to the heavens that they would never fit but reading some comments online I knew others had wrongly thought the same. My threads were clearly dirty and rusty so being too cheap to go buy a $75 thread chaser kit I got creative and found a .45 caliber brass barrel cleaning brush was just the right size! After about 30 minutes of brushing the threads and applying liberal amounts of WD-40 I was able to get all 5 new bolts at least started. I realized at this point I should take off the spare tire to get some more room to work and then came 30 more minutes of backing the bolts in and out until they went all the way in. The 1 existing bolt started coming out easy but required a breaker bar and 2 sockets (the breaker bar broke the first one) to get it the rest of the way out. Now I was ready to bolt this baby on. That went super easy as I mentioned the holes lined right up and so after 3 hours (if you include the trip to Harbor Freight) I had a Class III hitch!
The finish is nice, the fit is perfect. The hitch extends a bit beyond the bumper and that's a good thing for me.

The hitch only took about 20 min to install. It fit perfect. I like that it sticks out a bit. It keeps cars from banging up my bumper and hitting my backup sensors when they park... Read morePublished 11 months ago by Ted B.
fit perfectly and was easy to install. Only complaint will be that the receiver sticks out about 4 inches past the bumper. Other than that it is great.Published 11 months ago by Donald Shoemaker
Great tow receiver but after spending over an hour trying to remove the permanent bolt installed in my 2012 Jeep Liberty I gave up trying to install it myself. Read morePublished 15 months ago by Alex Rago
