It does the job, but because its such low wattage it does the job very slowly, is ok for sterilizing a small object but that's about all.
But it is inexpensive and runs on a couple of batteries, it is what it is. Don't get too excited about. You are not going to sterilize a table top or a kitchen counter or ever a sink with it. You might sterilize a knife or a cell phone but that about it.

It works very well. I had trouble at 1st because I didn't hold it level and was going to return it. I re-read the directions and found the safety feature was keeping it from working. Now, it works perfectly.

I got this and it did work for awhile or at least the light came on. Not sure that it killed any germs or not light seems very weak and you are supposed to hold it close and inch or so for up to a minute. I used it then took the batteries out and put it away for our next road trip, and when I put new batteries in it it would not come back on.

This does the trick! The wand is quite small, but not as small as to fit in a purse. The setup is fairly easy - it requires four AA batteries, no screwdriver needed. The only concern is that it may take some time to sanitize an area due to its size. You may want to invest in a larger wand for housekeeping.

That's right, we bought these an an inexpensive alternative to the outrageously expensive fluorescent rock mineralights. Since they use a shortwave ultraviolet light source, they are perfect for rock hounding in the field!

I expected the sanitizing wand to be used in any position. I purchased it because I needed to sanitize all of my shoes. I underwent a laser treatment for a foot fungus. When the wand is turned upward it shuts itself off. The solution was to turn my shoes with one hand while holding the wand downward with the other. Since I was only using the wand one time I opted not to spend $100.00.
If you are planning to use the wand more than once, then I would suggest you spend the bucks.

I suspected some kind of pathogen was responsible for giving me acne. After I "tanned" all my items that I use, while making sure I am not shinning UV directly on to any of my skin, I now have no break outs on my face.
