I purchased these tights around the new year. Living in Wisconsin and being an avid runner and skiier, I needed a product that would insulate and grant a good range of motion. These tights fulfilled that, and more. The support web truly keeps your joints and muscles aligned and supported in a way that you can feel just by putting the tights on. After doing a hard, sprint-repeat workout, my legs still felt fresh and like they had more in them.
The insulation and wind-stopping panels are fantastic. I am extremely warm-blooded, but because of the nanotechnology that regulates temperature, I have never once over-heated in these tights. I have also skiied in open plains with 30+ mph winds, and not even felt a breeze on my legs due to the wind-blocking fabric.
Some have said the tights ran small, however, they need to be fitted in order for the support web to do its magic. I'm 5'4", 125lbs, and wear a small. This definitely is not too small.
I highly recommend this product to outdoor athletes who need insulation and want to be on the edge of support technology. This is a great product at a well-worth-it price!
(Also, as some have noted, these tights are quite flattering because of the slimming support webbing.) :)

A word of caution about the sizing--I have three pair of the 3/4 Stabilyx Tights in size M and they fit well. I ordered a M in the Insulator Tights and they were too small. My guess is that the insulator fabric does not stretch as much as the regular compression fabric. After returning the Insulator Tights, I ordered regular Stabilyx Tights in M and they fit. The regular Stabilyx tights offer great support during my work-outs and it was great to find a pair of tights that sit slightly above the belly button!

these are great - warm, supportive, well-fitting... except for the fact that the inseam is not gusseted. This means that four pieces of material meet right in the inseam, and since the tights are strategically built to pull on certain panels through the length of the legs, there is a pressure point at the inseam that basically pulls up to become a wedge while running. needless to say, this is not ideal.

I got these recently and tried them on. After I struggled to get them on, I felt like they pinched the backs of my knees. I read from other reviews that people ran and didn't notice the tights while running. I did, however. I am 5'2" and 125 pounds so I got the small. I run an average 40 miles per week. I also tried these out in 20 degree weather - my thighs were freezing!! I have another pair of winter tights that are so much warmer. Also, the drawstring is frayed at the end, which seems sadly cheap for such expensive tights. If they didn't pinch the backs of my knees and kept me warmer, I'd keep them. I might try another set of tights for the winter. A shame, because I really wanted to have tights that could support my knees which sometimes hurts after runs.

I have been training through the winter to get ready for half marathons in the early Spring but always felt like my tights were not sufficient for temperatures in the low to mid thirties...well got these on Thursday last week and tried them out on Sunday morning on the trail. Temps were in about 34 degrees to start and never got above 36 when I finished my 10 miles. I give them five stars and will definitely have them on standby for the half marathon in mid-March just in case....legs felt great and I was able to stay warm with just my base, turtleneck and a sweatshirt. :)

I am 5'7" 131 pounds. I am a runner. I do not have a local store that sells these tights, so I had to go by the products size charts. You will see that I fall into some sort of grey area on their size charts between small and Medium. I ordered Medium and I was afraid they would be too big. But they are still very tight, and compressive as they are supposed to be. I can't imagine how I could fit into any size smaller.

Wore this outside all winter, running in as low as 5 degrees outside. Never cold and my legs felt great the whole time. Highly recommended. On long runs, check the criss cross over the knee and make sure your tights haven't slipped down.

This is my first CW-X Insulated Tight and 3rd. Stabilyx Tight. The compression and fit feel the same as the non-insulated version. The material on the insulator is a little heavier but does not block wind like I had envisioned. These tights were comfortable above 35 degrees but not below freezing temps or in the wind. I am a little disappointed in their insulating ability to keep me comfortable while running. The seam in the back of the waistband chafes my back as in the other CW-X tights I own. The elastic tie is a waste as is the key pocket. If you do put a key in the pocket the compression embeds it into your skin and becomes very uncomfortable. I am 5'3" and 130 lbs. The size small tights are short on me; above the ankle bone. The non-insulated version of this tight covers my ankles. I would not spend the $$ for the insulated version of the Stabilyx Tight again. In cold weather I will wear regular CW-X tights and a pair of wind or water resistant pants over the tights. Other than the seam on the backside waistband I did not experience any chaffing and was happy with the compression and fit. This is stated on the tag. Never ever dry CW-X tights in the clothes dryer. Hang to dry.
