Bought this PC for gaming and I am very happy with what I got for the price. Unless you want an even stronger PC to game at 1440p or 4k, which by then you should probably build a PC yourself to get the most out of your money; otherwise the Gamer Xtreme from CyberPower is the perfect machine for gaming at 1080p (I don't have VR so I can't review performance on that).
Pros:
- Currently at $719.99, the money needed to build a similar PC with similar performance yourself is actually slightly higher than just buying this PC. This is of course, not accounting for sales and specials that you can find online, but overall you are getting decent hardware for the price and warranty for an entire PC.
- It runs well and quiet during heavy gaming sessions.
- It performs very well at 1080p, (Fallout 4 ~60 fps at ultra, Ultra-Modded Skyrim at ~60) Check Rx-480 reviews for more performance benchmarks.
- The sleek case looks very cool with a red and black theme (the inside isn't as bright as the product picture suggests)
- Lots of IO and ports
- Plenty of room for expansion and upgrades
- Free keyboard and mouse is nice although the led colors don't match the red theme (it's like a light pinkish glow, but do you really care?)
Cons:
- The wireless adapter doesn't fare well with walls and speed drops drastically.
- I would've preferred a wireless solution that didn't take a USB port or at least not permanently like mine did.
- The Intel i5-7400 is okay, but I would much rather see a i5-7500 or a Ryzen 5 1500x since the price is pretty much the same, but these chips have greater performance.
- The motherboard doesn't support Crossfire which could have made future upgrades easier and from what I've read online, people have trouble installing windows 7 on it so if that's your plan, do some research first.
Side Notes:
- Case is actually pretty big and heavy if you happened to gloss over the measurements like me
- There is a GTX-1060 version that includes a 128gb ssd for $829.99 at time of writing. I prefer this $719 build instead since you can get a much better CPU, graphics card, and ssd at that price

Overall, this is a great gaming pc for newcomers to the pc gaming community who wants to play recent triple AAA titles at 1080p 60fps on high to ultra settings. It's also perfect if you play a lot of Overwatch, League of Legends, or CS:GO which are not demanding titles, but want some flexibility to play more intensive games. If you don't know how to build a pc or don't have time to wait for the next price drop on hardware and you want a complete desktop with great performance and solid build quality at a decent price point then look no further than this Gamer Xtreme PC from CyberPower.
