The trick to these is to make sure that you are wiring to the same configuration for all cables that you use. There's a T-568A and T-568B configuration (which you can google) and for my setup, I used the B configuration for the heads and for the connections to these. Make sure that you have the right tools if you plan to do this yourself. If you have a small wire stripper, it should have a small metal head that you can use to press down the ethernet cable's wires into their positions. You don't have to strip the small wires before pushing them into their sockets. All you have to do is press them into their correct position, and don't worry if the wires stick out the sides - it's actually easier that way. After they are in place, use a wire cutter to cut off the extra wires sticking out the sides and place the cover on. That's all.
I used LEVITON 41642-W 2-Port QuickPort Decora Platform, White inserts that have cutouts in them for different keystones and these fit nice and snug. The colors also match. You just have to make sure to put them in in the correct orientation. There is a top and bottom to these and even if one way fits, it may cause problems for the piece next to it if it is put in the wrong way. Once it's in correctly, it works as expected. I haven't had any problems with any of them unclipping, or falling into the wall so 5 stars for a product that well deserves it.
The jacks seem well made and are very easy to use. I had no problem attaching the wire pairs and then punching them down with my punch down tool. So far (with the exception of my very first try) all my ends have attached cleanly and have tested perfectly. They plug into the keystone wall plates just fine and the combination makes for a professional looking result.
More context on my use case: I ran the cable through the attic and used these ethernet jacks on each end to their outlet, allowing me to connect the base wifi router to a second wifi router that strengthens the signal. Overall, it looks good and was quite easy. The second based took parts of the home from 3Mb/sec to what we had already been getting near the original base, 60Mb/sec (i.e. gave us a consistent maximum speed throughout the house).
I don't pull cable for a living, but I have pulled my share of cable in and out of data centers and network closets. I love that this comes with a zip tie to strap down the keystone to the cable. Like a paperclip, you can only bend metal so many times at the same point before it breaks and strapping the wire helps to minimize this. The price is great. I'm not down building out the infrastructure so I'll have to post some iperf results when I'm finally done.
