When I asked some friend who were well-versed in networking/cabling if coupling two cables (total length like <75ft) was a good idea, they had some reservations. And responses on the Internet such as on reddit and elsewhere were mixed.
Still, it was cheaper to at least try an RJ-45 Coupler before buying a brand-new CAT6 cable at my needed length.
And I'm glad I did. Because I have had no issues whatsoever. Running several IPERF3 tests on the LAN both pre- and post-coupler, I was able to confirm that speeds were pretty much exactly the same with this specific coupler.
So yeah, highly recommend using this coupler, as long as you stay under the max combined length of 100 meters or so. I think I only went 50-60 feet.

Well built and engineered
