Don't expect improvements by leaps and bounds, as this cable (and most cables) provide a very subtle change in the sound signature. I happen to find the sound from this cable very pleasing and would recommend it to anyone. For $20, you get a solid silver cable that should last a long time. If you're currently very happy with your headphone setup (like I am) and looking for subtle improvements, this is a good place to start.
One more note about the seller; I ordered this item on a Friday and received it on Monday, it was sent from Arizona and I live in Michigan. Very fast shipping and I would definitely buy from them again!
If you have a pair of calipers, have various 3.5mm jacks handy and one of them is slightly smaller than 3.5mm, I suggest verifying your device won't have an issue before ordering one of these.
At any rate, the sound is OK, but my Fiio copper cable sounds a little more transparent, whereas these sound just slightly muddy, and become a little fatiguing over time. The best cable I've heard for mini-to-mini is a silver-gold alloy cable (a true alloy) from the "Qable" company. But it's much more expensive.
After I connected this converter to my AK120, I listened my earphone. I had to turn up the volume a little bit because the earphone became 97 Ohm from 22 Ohm (as rated impedance). I was kind of skeptical. Will it make a real difference? However, I didn't have to listen carefully. When I heard it first time with a proper volume, I asked 'did my SE425 sound like this?' Definitely there was difference in high side. That was a good surprise.
What this converter does to your earphone may be different from mine. It may become worse or no difference. Still if you want to do some experiment, go for it. I recommend.
