Stick Power?

Honestly, there is no question that with having streaming on your TV, Amazon Fire TV has been one of the most unsung but yet popular ways we can see and listen to things online where we watch TV or stream music online. But yet, the Fire TV Stick has been one of the most inexpensive and yet valuable ways we can surf the web, wherever we want the portability and playback. But yet, other companies making accessories for Amazon Fire TV really do not deliver as strong as they say that they do, like any third-party developer for video games. TV Power's USB Cable for the Amazon Fire TV Stick, really does not have the power to really keep the Fire TV Stick charged well to the HDTV, while you are online and streaming TV/ Instead, you really get the best power when you connect the cable to the USB AC Adapter to the wall, rather than the TV. But overall, it doesn't last as long as Amazon's cable does for the Fire TV Stick. Overall, I do suggest than you seek another cable and AC Adapter from Amazon itself for the money than here.

Apparently this item does not work for some, but is working great for us. It may have something to do with power of the USB port of one's tv. I'm not sure. We almost didn't buy it because of the negative experience of some reviewers. Because of the minimal price we went ahead and gave it a try. I'm glad we did! We love our Amazon Fire TV Stick. We have the Google Chrome Sick, but didn't like it because you have to use your phone as the remote. Just a small hassle to pair them up, but still a hassle. We have several Vizio Smart TVs (about 3 to 4 yrs old) but the interface is clunky. The Fire Stick comes with a remote and has such a smooth easy interface, far superior to the Chrome Stick and the Vizio smart tv buttons. We were disappointed to see we had to have an ac powered wall plug with the Fire Stick. This solves that problem. We just removed ac power, plugged this into the Fire Sick and USB. Worked like a charm, no hiccups. Back to a nice clean look without visible wires!

Never did get it to power my Amazon Fire Stick.

Bought it to avoid using a plug in the wall for my Amazon Fire Stick. It never worked. Maybe my USB on the TV didn't put out enough juice but I think the output must be standardized. I am not saying it might not work on another TV. I had an automatic HDMI changer that didn't work on another TV that I couldn't switch HDMI inputs with. Gave it to my daughter and it worked fine with her 4K TV. I gave it 2 stars instead of one because maybe it would work on another brand TV.

At the top of the year I purchased a fire stick and I needed a charger cord as well. I found this product and thought that it would be a good idea. Now the cord does have mini in the title description. So, I knew the cord would not be a standard length cord. The issue with this cord is that it is too store and you are better off with a standard cord. To the manufactures of this product: I say make the cord a little longer, not as long as a regular cord, but long enough to provide power and it will be a perfect buy.

The moment I saw this product, not only was I impressed but also wondered why my fire stick would need any other source of power. There are so many USB powered items so this just made sense. What I didn't realize is that the power put out by USB sites varies from product to product. I reluctantly found out the hard way when I found out only new TV's have the strength to provide adequate power and my 2012 Panasonic didn't cut it. I'm sure the product works fine, I just wish that they were clearer that it won't work with all TVs

Hard to say this is anything less than 5 stars. Its done its job. Gave me power for my amazon firestick and I don't have an extra long cable to hide behind the TV. Perfect length if the USB port is located right next to the HDMI port.
I bought this because I wanted to used the USB port instead of the wall socket but a notice displayed on my TV about an improper power source. I haven't had any issues with my fire stick from using the USB port.

Works just fine, although on some older model TV's the firestick does say its not enough power to operate but it operates anyway. Have had it plugged into the USB on my 5 years old Samsung flat screen with this cord since I got the firestick and have had no operational issues with the "low power" warning. Also the company sent me 2 by accident, I wrote to them asking if they wanted the second one returned, they answered immediately and told me to just go ahead and keep it in nice words of course. Pretty friendly folks

The Screen would show a fire stick landing screen then it would reboot over and over. Once I reverted back to the included power cord the firestick started with no problem. This was a waist

Im Prinzip eine perfekte Lösung, damit man das mitgelieferte Netzteil des Fire TV Sticks nicht anschließen muss. Bei uns reichte die Stromversorgung über den Fernseher leider nicht aus. Zumindest wurde uns das auf dem Fernseher angezeigt, Wir haben dann doch das mitgelieferte Netzteil anschließen müssen.
Vielleicht ist das bei anderen Fernsehern anders. Bei uns funktionierte es nicht.

Eine Kleinigkeit stört mich, mein Philips TV sagt mir beim einschalten, dass ein nicht autorisiertes Gerät angeschlossen ist.
Das lässt sich zwar weg drücken, nervt aber ein bisschen.

Hat alles prima geklappt so wie es soll, allerdings beschwert sich der FireStick hin und wieder, dass er für Funktionen wie z.B. Firmwareupgrade nicht am Netzteil hängt und die Spannung evtl. nicht reicht - bisher hat aber alles fehlerfrei geklappt.
