I knew these things existed. I went to my local home depot and the only kind they had were the punch-down board in the back and the jack on the front. I didn't want to pay another $20-30 for the punch-down tool and had already ran a premade/terminated ethernet cable through my wall (so I didn't want to have to cut the ends off to punch them into a board). I knew something like this existed, so I checked Amazon and sure enough, they had them.

These things are simple. If you have a keystone wall plate, you just have to clip this thing in and can plug in a premade ethernet cable into the back/inside-the-wall side, screw the wall plate into the box/wall, then plug the ethernet line you want to couple into the front. Took me all of 2 minutes to install. Well worth the purchase! I would definitely recommend these!

The perfect solution as to not have to hand wire your cat5e connections. That is plug to plug using patch cable(s)
Works just fine and there is no noticable loss in speed even on the far side of my house. I run 120 mb next to my router and 120 mb on the far side of the house. I am all hard wired and have eliminated all wireless in the house except for visitors and my laptop.
Very hard to find these plugs in the stores, in my case.

This Keystone, Like the Beer of the Same Name, is Terrible

Do you want to replace your drab white Cat5e keystones with a different color? Would you also like to purchase a keystone coupler that doesn't meet the sizing standard for 8P8C connecters (read: RJ45), thus allowing the coupler to neither accept a jack or shatter under the strain of trying to release a jack you managed to accidently force into its gaping maw? If so, buy with confidence - this product is for you.

The size of the jacks are a minute amount smaller than they should be, making enry or egress of any modular connector nearly impossible. Legend has it that a young boy named Arthur was the only man in all of England able to remove a patch cable from one of these keystones, and upon doing so was crowned King Arthur: for the remainder of his days he carried his patch cable (which he named Excaliber) around with him and would flop it around wildly in the air prior to battles in order to show to opposition proof of his great might.

For ordinary humans, you will have to call various friends over to you home and have them line up in tug-of-war fashion and pull with all their might to release. Or just not waste your money on this pitiful crap.

Have been working on running CAT5 thru the house to relieve wireless congestion and these couplers have done the job! They are built well and snapped into the wall plates (Sewell Wall Plate with 12 Keystone Ports, 2-gang, White) and are strongly held in with the clip. These can be a bit tricky to get out if you need to take them out to move them to another slot but to me that's a good thing, they won't pop up easily. Have only been using it for a few weeks but to this point very satisfied with this purchase.

These work well, but I really wanted punchdown connectors. I reread the description and noticed that it said 'inline'. Just understand what you are getting. I'd much rather had punchdowns, as I had to deal with more connections and had to use up an extra RJ45 terminator at each connection.

This is my first foray into keystone jacks and I must say that I am highly impressed. I bought a keystone wall plate and this jack to mate a new Cat 5 run from office-to-bedroom. The connection works 100% and was easy, peasey. I could not get the plate and jack from the same seller and unfortunately my "white" plate does not perfectly match my "white" jack, but that's no one's fault but my own.

Jack clips in very tight (in a good way) to the plate and it isn't going anywhere. The cable's jack is also a nice snug fit into the wall jack.

I was running wire today and needed to put some wall jacks in where I had the cable coming out of the wall. With these I could use any standard keystone faceplate and just plug the RJ45 jack into the side that goes on the inside of the wall, and my patch cable to the outside and I was up and running. It's actually easier for me to put on a RJ45 connector than to punch down the wires on those other punch down connectors. So this was perfect for what I needed.
